When does the AI start attacking you? Thats where the fun part is ;)

It's useless to be honest.... I've never felt that shadowbolt was broken, and the reduced resist and unresistable gives it some flavor so it's not just a "Death" Firebolt.
Using auto combat always on spellcaster mobs. Works wonders. Dark wizard? XP tome is more like it. Then being *very careful* doing auto combat early when it looks like an easy win. Your weak champion will suddenly die to wtf damage to a lone archer. I.E autocombat works well when it shouldn't.
Actually I made a volcano on one of their towns and they automatically dropped out of the game. So, you know, I guess that works too.
Yup thats the solution. Find their sovereign, volcano on him and bye bye. Not sure if this is a bug or not.
Heh - I liked your first set of experiments, I'll enjoy this one. I'll tell you, though - everyone complains bitterly that the AI has too much research, yet I have yet to actually see the impact of this. I mean it's not like the AI *ever* fields late-game technology units, right? Is everyone just mad that their buildings are more advanced?
Too put it this way... at Ridicilous I faced Champion armo
Play higher difficulty. There they will declare on you as soon as you have lower might than them (which is almost always).. Problem solved [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Give Governor a spell, where he picks what city to govern. Problem solved. Making him stay in a city to reap benefits is counterproductive, given how few champions you usually have.
I'm happy with the gameplay so far, it's been worth the money. (more so that I can say of Diablo 3... fucking waste of money) The potential is good, so it will only get better. And guys, where are all the user maps you say? I will kill for some good maps, the random ones can't compete with a well designed map. So a DLC with actually GOOD maps is more than worth the money. Especially if it's only like 5 bucks. DLC in this game could actually be all we need, since it'
If AI gets steamrolled by mobs, give them more troops at start? Not hard. And there is too much roaming in this game and not enough patrolling. When I upped it, it got better, and they actually attacked me when I went by, but there needs to be 2-3 square zoning to make for better maps. Predictable movement in start is good, and leave the roaming for late game. (more random "event" stuff then is good, let the insane roamers start raiding you then, when you actually
I played for conquest victory, and I had a pretty tough fight against a 800+ points AI steamrolling the rest. I kinda ended up with this by chance, it wasn't preplanned by any means. (I started paragoning when heroes were around lvl 14, AI's had lvl 18 heroes) This is more a problem for big maps, and we should get even bigger ones next DLC. It's bad scaling more than cheese, and is easily fixed. (why dodge and spell resist is linear is strange to say the least, it ju
So today I made an immortal hero. Paragon stacks with all the xp bonus thingies, so I got 2 levels all the time with each Paragon. 90 mana isn't that much either, and with the Blood Curse spell from Imperium you have infinite health. Acrobat+Discipline+The dodgy stuff (and the relevant buffs) and spell resist stuff gave me: 125 dodge, 270 spell resist. (hero was level 70 btw, I got bored since it was only crap skills to pick) Pretty much immortal unless you s
You just need to be patient and learn the leveling part a bit. The wolf pack is easy with some tanking etc. at start, even with just sovereign+champ. When your champion gets enough defense items, they become a walk in the park. (mobs always focus your champion for some reason, so pimp him up first) Though the ridicilousness of world mobs is the main part hampering the game so far. AI never cleans and is immune to monsters it seems, so they get a stupid advantage over you cause of it.
Not everything, but some stuff could use some tweaks yes. Volcano one shotting a faction... not good. (or at least I think it did, was a 1vs1 where I hit the sovereign with volcano, and I won instantly, he had 7 cities left) But the new patch is great. Fixed most of my issues, and it's fun to play now. Just need more and better maps ;)
