I wish they would add a way to get our game on steam. The "original" stuff seems buggy. I had loads of trouble getting the game on my laptop. (downloaded the 1.10 version twice)

Playername would be needed in case you had two identical factions in-game. Would this be possible?
There are already "faction" buildings like that. National wonders if you played CiV5. These buildings are like world wonders. If you want a "world wo
The problem with this type of reasoning is the AI. It currently has big trouble keeping it's units alive and level them up. If all weapon damage scales with level, then the AI would be at an even bigger disadvantage than it already is.
I beg to differ. Up your difficulty and you will be facing 200hp+ stacks everywhere. (yes that is your high level stacks) With bonuses the AI stacks gets insane. If you actually

We got some fun spells to use to customize our champions/sovereigns, but they are hard to balance, and rather than see another Destiny's Gift 6x nerf (at least), maybe we should discuss how these should work to keep being fun and still be balanced. Destiny's Gift nerf was warranted, but went too far. Especially since it's an early tier spell. So I would wish some tweaking at the mana cost at least, and maybe add some more stats into it, so it's harder

They really should implement a "Legendary start" option. That was always my favorite for Civ5 and going tall. With some tweaks to the game and that, we might look at a going tall option here as well instead of pioneer spam everywhere.

In my Insane game, I met a 500 hp champion with 60+ attack. (game was over at that point so he was "easy") Maybe they should just up the bonuses a bit on lower difficulties? But yes there seems to be few smart decisions and lots of brute force regarding balancing them. Warrior champions with the right weapon choice and lethal could be deadly to fight against. Also they seem to buy that 2 initiative ring or amulet a lot. Every time I get a surrendered sovereign he has tons of those. Bu

Ah, that would explain it. Thanks! :) We should really have a place where to see CD's and stuff like that. (I couldn't find it at least) I could have used that with Curgens Volcano, I almost killed my own champion twice when I was patrolling the area to not let anyone pass while the spell was casted ;)

Remember to put all your armor on your Champion. Mobs will always go for him first so he needs it, and your Sovereign survives even if he dies so he isn't as useful early on ;) (trick/exploit, auto complete just before you win, and your sovereign will get xp as well even if he died) Doing this and using ZoC (mobs next to a target will always target that one) you can solo most stuff and get items quick to clean up those juicy sites.
Aha, that explains it. it was kind of fixed then It was quite annoying when the enemy AIs had literally thousands of tradable tech points. Its much better - now if I have a "buddy" AI I trade my tech to, he usually has around the same amount (variable by difficulty) rather than .... you had 0, I have 0. Now you have 5000 and I have 200...wth?
I actually think the AI had tec

It hits for the 5 hp, but it seems to only count the base HP, so anything you get from abilities (Hardy, Adventurers) will be the minimum, so after a while it's "free". Oh, and this is probably the most fun I've had in ages. It was awesome "living on the edge", props to the FE team! [e digicons]B)[/e] (please unnerf Curgens Volcano and leave Paragon alone ok? :P )

That was insane... [e digicons]}:)[/e] The AI is hard as hell, spamming units all over the place. If the champion AI gets improved, I'm not sure if it's possible to beat it. But the bonuses seems a tad bit off regarding score at least, it fluctuated wildly from 1200ish to 3-4000 randomly. Dunno if it's a bug or "lag" after I beat armies. My tactic was gathering up as much mana as quickly as possible while trying to stay alive at the beginning. I had cu

The items at start and from mobs are usually far better than leather crap anyways. Stock up on Rusty stuff ;), save your gold for chain/light plate instead. The prices seems okay to me.

Yeah, we need a difficulty check for those victories. They are far too easy on all difficulties. They should be balanced with the final weapons in mind (MQ), and spell of making should be at the end of the magic tree, or give them some more prereqs. At the very least scale them with difficulty settings, that would help a lot.

Well, outposts costing the same as a settlement is stupid imo. (a settlement is far more worth it than an outpost) Maybe they should remove the outpost thingie from pioneers, and let sovereigns and governor champions be able to found them instead with maybe a CD? Would make more sense, and make you able to tweak pioneer costs a bit.

I've actually wondered why everyone keeps the AI bonuses linear. Why not make them get larger for the late game etc. with a "roof" to prevent it from breaking the game, you can even let some player triggers make them bigger. I don't want ridicilously powerful AI early, I want it late when my empire is in shape. Seems to me the major problem with this would be solved with only going away from linear bonuses. (and some tweaking to the AI sovereigns and armies) &nbs

Yes, and it's the research that is the main problem. You need cheaper upgrades for research in cities, and some kind of better pop scaling to mitigate or something. Study etc. is too expensive early game, and a new city will get the research up quicker, and adds more production to boot. I would also like that new settlement sites were camped by monsters, so you had to have a minimum army to clean them up first or something, before you could settle. (maybe implement a blocking thin
While it can be funny to make an army of lv30+ heroes with relative ease, it also makes lategame wars a bit of a joke.
The stacking is ok, you can get even higher heroes than that with Paragon, and much earlier. The problem is probably just that Henchmen can get it too easily. Also, you have piercing traits, and magic weapons. Shieldwall doesn't help against that.

Half of that is faction balance taking effect... Periden is not useless, though they are weak in stand-up fighting -- the initiative bonus can be incredible, and the earth shard bonus counts even when they are level 1. I expec

Will this fix the instadeclare on higher difficulties as soon as you meet them? Because exploring is stupid when playing higher difficulties, the longer you are unnoticed the better, and that seems somewhat upside down.
Quoting sjaminei, reply 5Using auto combat always on spellcaster mobs. Works wonders. Dark wizard? XP tome is more like it. Then being *very careful* doing auto combat early when it looks like an easy win. Your weak champion will suddenly die to wtf damage to a lone archer.
