Dear Stardock, please just make a carbon copy of Master of Magic already. That is all. Yours truly, a dedicated fan of your games and Master of Magic.

because the patch is not yet released, obviously. (my guess is thursday for patch day)
I use them mostly to boost growth in fortresses via consulates because their natural growth is annoyingly slow. Even with "produce growth" they take forever to grow (usually +2 or a max of +3 for really well situated fortresses). Other than that I like to build the high tower upgrade to close gaps between control zones.
I don't use offensive strategical spells much but I do love me some unit buffs, city enchantments and cloud walk. Makes me think back to Master of Magic when you could make godlike units with buffs (like fully buffed War Trolls). Stuffing your sovereign with buffs makes Procipinee's Crown so worth the point.
The fix is gonna be in the next update, according to the changelog.
Just playing a new game where I have a lot of settlements. The old settlements completely disappeared from my overview and I only see a few of the new ones I captured. Looks like there's a limit on how many can be displayed or something.
I like to go for lategame in my games, so I enjoy leveling my champions a lot. The only problem with this is: there doesn't seem to be enough XP on the map to level more than 1 champion, unless you have the Wanderlust trait and keep buying new quest maps (which is a little annoying too since it requires a lot of clicks to go from buying the map to using it; there's also some quest locations that are bugged out and won't start a quest upon walking onto the tile). In my curr
Huge maps are really really awesome! The only problem I've found so far is that a) pioneers take forever to get anywhere, this makes the arcane outpost spell and master scouts trait really strong compared to smaller maps (maybe make it so that you can mount pioneers too?) and b) due to the bigger map size you will have a lot more cities which generate an unreal amount of unrest, which is hard to control unless you plan ahead. Can't wait for bigger maps, my 8 GB
So I attacked an enemy city that had some other units standing nearby the city tile. During the fight I noticed this: Units that weren't stationed in the city itself joined the fight and the only way to attack them was with ranged attacks, as the usual "battle grid" was limited to the city map as usual. I think I've encountered this bug before in FE but forgot to post about it. It doesn't seem
Ascian works flawlessly in my game. You might want to provide your savegame so the devs can take a gander at it.
here's my savegame. https://www.dropbox.com/s/377sx6uy3maz3lb/4.rar
You guys are right.
So I just realized during my custom Amarian faction run that their racial ability does nothing. From the screenshot you can tell that I got shards that should give various boni, although none of them work. edit: I'm an idiot. <p
This was already the case in FE. Also: if you cancel Tireless March from the current unit it can't be recast, ever. Not sure if that's intended.
They updated the changelog; XP is still split when you have more than 1 Champion in your army. That would explain why you got only 5 xp off a Shrill Lord.
Quoting sjaminei, reply 8 We need some more depth in unit designs I think. It's pretty obvious what is best most of the time, and your biggest concern is crystal vs iron spending. Double fire/cold +3 and double rings +1 is always the best bet when designing units and you have the crystal. I think some more depth regarding initiative, +hp pr lvl (get this away from gilden please) etc. and ma
Really enjoying the game so far, but I encountered one problem that's kinda persistent. When I reload my current game the settlement/hero overview on the left side of the screen disappears. Unless there's a hotkey I am not aware of the only way I found to fix it is restarting the game. Really enjoying the game so far! Only thing that annoys me as of now is that when I alt-tab out of the game or re-load a game while my game is still running (like after a failed battle) the settlement/army overview on the left of the screen is gone. The only way to recover this menu seems to be to restart the game.
My body is ready.
Well, firstly HoMM isn't a "real" 4x game, it's more of a turn-based strategy game. Secondly, we can't tell how good AoW3 will be or even when it will be released. If you have enough money to spend you might want to pick up FE now and AoW3 in a couple of months when it gets released. I'd compare FE to Master of Magic in terms of gameplay and how it feels to play. If you haven't played Master of Magic I'd highly recommend you give it a shot. &nbs
Wait, if the thread got nuked does that mean his suggestion would have worked? Dammit, now I kinda wish I hadn't ignored it for 'obvious trolling'. EDIT: that, and I wish I remembered what his suggestion was
No, let's pretend it's a sign that the beta will come out tomorrow and that we shouldn't worry.
I want to believe!
Worst forum software ever. I was wondering if the Master Scout ability was unique to the premade Tarth character, because I can't seem to find it when creating a custom faction/leader. Also does anyone else notice that you can't enter all the quest locations spawned by quest maps? Like the location appears on the map,but there's no dialogue like in regular quest locations upon walking on the tile.
So after playing a couple of games I think Fallen Enchantress turned out pretty well, can't wait what it will play like on release. What I noticed though is that there will always be one AI faction that gets mega strong while all the other AIs tend to fall behind hardcore and end up just as a sort of puffer between you and the super AI. Today I got lucky and had a game where a ) my main hero got a lot of nice stuff early on and b ) there were a lot of settlement tiles nearby so I
