Thanks Horemvore for both quick and apt reply. Did used the direct link and the files where unzipping perfectly. Booted the game and YES! the UCP mod where in there. Selected one of the 2 Sol system: here we go! works! For my personal education (heck! purely by pride) I took a looksy at your files and cannot figure out (yet) how they differ from the ones I created...ill go over it piece by piece over the week-end. If you do not mind and for my personal use only, ma

Make a copy of PlanetDefs.xml. Check. Simply edit the value of the Sol system (Earth from 12 to 25) Check. Make sure to uncheck and re-check "enable mod" every times and reboot game. Check. For each edition/combination: game was restarted with new game both with the default Terran and with a game created custom race who use the Sol System. 1) Copy PlanetDefs.xml to: Documents\My Games\GC3Crusad
So many modders....so little answers. Yes, I also will love to know: starting a game with a class 12 planet in retribution, well, Sucks! I almost miss the original GC3 where you could edit everything with ease!
Nah! been around galactic civilization..too simple too. I've been around the gaming world when most of you where just a twinkle in your father's eyes, and yet, after all those years, I still do not see anything made by anyone who is truly an "all that". Yes some, by mediocrity, hides behind lame excuses or pathetic explanations..but the fact is: you CAN have "speed", graphics and extra complexity; an "all in one" game.....but that's only for REAL gamers, I suppose, to desire
How simplistic! If I wanted to play a game LIKE starcraft.. Ill simply play starcraft! Why would I want to have a "copy" of something else? This is ridiculous and quite an infantile reply. I want more, more complex, with more variables. Something that offer re-playability and also, as it is far more complex, provide more avenues and permutation when I play alone and/or in multi player mode. As per the the comment of the other post
I will be honest, although the game is smooth to run, have great visuals..it is too darn simplistic! Tech tree is small and unidirectional, no customization of ships or building other than the very limited upgrade path. No modifiable taxation who can influence allegiance and revenues, no building upgrades or "domestic" destruction (management). I do see immense potential behind that game, but in its current version, I get bored within minutes as it is TOO simple.
