I agree a lot on ranged combat. It was always disappointing that nothing effected it. You can't block shots by putting other units in front of a target you want to protect for example. And objects that block physical movement don't block projectiles it's just annoying. Would love to see that revamped. And while were on the subject of tactical combat I would love to see the two new factions get unique in combat abilities like all the other factions got. That

I actually think you might want to ditch the Elemental title entirely. I mean you already did with Fallen Enchantress to escape the negative Metacritic. Just being realistic here I think the name Fallen Enchantress now has more value than Elemental does. But it doesn't make sense for future titles unless they always feature a Enchantress who gets corrupted in them lol. I would say just go with a new title entirely. I think you can use the next year or so doing updates to FE:LH to

It could probably work reasonably well if there was an option to disable tactical battles, and force auto-battle only. But even then your talking about a game that was not designed to be balanced competitively. What kind of start you get often determines in a big way how powerful you will be. Against dumber AI you can come back from a bad start but against other players it's unlikely. Imagine how long you would be sitting there rerolling maps until all players were satisfied with their st
Quoting sjaminei, reply 25 Include the old FE Scenario maps in LH. It makes no sense not to. If you have that DLC for FE you will get the one for LH for free. And it works, I can confirm it
Maybe he means the single player campaign scenario? I am kind of surprised that wasn't ported over. I think if you own the original FE it should be ported over si

The issue will come up again every time the game goes on sale for 50% off or more. Unless it's changed from a stacking discount to a discount of the actual current sale price. I don't how that is done but Stardock might want to bring it up with Steam to save themselves headache in the future.

35 Replies 49,584 Views

It's now back to what it was before the sale for existing owners. 75% off. Can we get a confirmation from Stardock that it's the cheapest we can ever expect it to be with our existing owner discount? Since I could see this issue coming up every time this game goes on sale.

35 Replies 49,584 Views

Yeah the discount stack actually had it available for 9.99 for existing owners until now. Now existing owners are unable to buy it at all. Disappointing since I really hoping to finally upgrade to it.

If you don't like the popups then disabling steam community ingame would probably stop them though I never tried since I don't mind it. FE did have a couple of achievements you just didn't see them unless you hit like shift tab or whatever the command was to open the Stardock account thing in game.

Between this change, and how stuff like Influence is being cut in LH I think the game is going to turn into a pure economic game where you just want to build strong gold generation to win. I hated that in Civ 5. You wanted to just spam gold in Civ 5 cause then you could buy out all the City States. Buy all the army you needed. I would say you could buy AI allies but they were bat **** insane in that game so you couldn't trust them lol. But in LH it sounds like you will be able to buy alli

I found it funny how he said he wasn't going to spoil it but then let loose a pretty big spoiler for the new campaign lol. Sounds like they are trying to wright Relias as a tragic Hero that just can't do anything right. What's he going to do in the next expansion summon a new evil Titan? Got to hand it to him though the world would be a lot more boring without Relias. And here I was thinking this expansion would be him getting to redeem himself, and purify Ceresa so we could have

Yeah it would be nice to have an option for more standardization. I mean I like the idea of it being really random in theory. Seems like it would encourage replayability. Except for the fact that in practice all it does is anger me when i'm 30-60 turns into the game, cleared out the tough monsters near my starting point. Then realize I have no good spots for expansion cities an there are barely any champions for me to recruit. But my neighbor AI has 10 champions. So I can either continue

I've only read about the feature since I didn't play the first game. But it sounds cool an very needed since the map generator can majorly shaft you on Champions. In my current game I got only one Champion. My closest neighbor Resoln got like 8 of them. With the lineage thing at least I could have created one or two other family heroes.

So this is a bug? Cause I found it pretty cheap when that happened to me earlier. Tarth went around my defended city an quickly through a forest, and insta razed a city before my army could get there two seasons later bleh.

There is a screen in the Ledger that shows exactly why the AI doesn't like you and decided to declare war. Basically it seems the weaker your are, and the closer you are they more they hate you. Being peaceful, and being a part of the same faction as them makes them like you. Though in my experience it wont be enough. They will all eventually war on you unless you pay them off. Which annoyed me since I wanted to actually make use of Alliance tech. But you really can't as even th

I don't blame the AI for getting owned. I'm a total newb to this. Have not finished by first game yet on Normal but I have to say I was shocked to see how crazy powerful the world mobs are. They feel like far more of a threat than my AI opponents actually. I almost wonder why we fight each other when we should be allying up against those giant rock spiders that are laying waste to our cities, and camping our roads in hopes of devouring our armies. And yes I think instant city destruct

I'm a little late to chime in on this topic. But I just want to say I can't see myself buying a map pack for a game that's meant to play with random maps. Not unless the map pack included new monsters/quests/terrain variations or something that would also be added to the pool of stuff the random generator could draw upon for map creation. That map pack they made for Civ 5 included a new variation of the Continents style random map for example. You could also sweeten the deal by ma

Yeah it was one of the neater features. Hard to see why they would take it out really. Unless they intend to really dramatically change the races so that breeding between them would not be possible. Or they didn't want to have to design mixed race offspring. Also I would probably vote against same sex marriage. Since that's really more of a modern lifestyle convenience. Marriage in the old days among royals was a business strategy pretty much. Throne was bound to the bloodlines so the

Not much I can add to the thread that hasn't been said I imagine. Personally I have no issues with Steam I think its great and probably better than all the other DD competition except maybe GoG. But GoG only deals in old stuff. Let's be honest we all know publishers wont release their new full priced games without protection. In that regard Steam is pretty reliable, and easy to use. Yeah you have to run the client but there are benefits to doing so like easy access to friends list, scr
