The game loads up, I can start a game but once the opening screen comes up describing the sovereign's history I can't click on the "x" to start the game. The mouse still moves and I can see the waves moving on the background but there's no way of closing this window and starting the game. Please see the debug.err file at http://pastebin.com/r03iwzPd Thank you.

The main menu loads but I can't click on any options in the menu. It started acting out a few days ago, allowing me to start a new game but becoming unresponsive when the "welcome" screen with your sovereign's history showed up. I can move the mouse but can't click on any of options. 0.914 and 0915 had worked fine until a couple of weeks ago, although a lot of the graphics and animations had been missing, which i attributed to my old Macbook pro running win xp with bootcam
I like this idea or some implementation of it. The thought that you could share resources so that stronger cities with more resources could help weaker ones is attractive.
Same here. I figured I was being careless and actually clicking on the enemy instead of the space where I wanted the unit to land before attacking. Nevetheless, if it happens to people and they're sure they didn't press on the unit then it might be an (annoying) feature. Not being able to adequately position your units around or next to enemies leads to lost turns.
I've seen it too. My computer's quite slow, though, so I thought that had to do with it.
I concur. It should be called the "Conquer City in three turns Spell". It disintegrates any defense a large city with many defenders have. Mid game, there's nothing else to do you cast it and wait and the city is yours.
Yes, this needs to be improved. Someone suggested adding options to the alerts which would allow you to go the site of the event or to ignore them. Additionally if such options are implemented, I'd appreciate it if the alert didn't disappear forever as soon as you press on them, but to have a "history/memory" of these events so that you can be taken to where they occurred in the past in order to better manage them in the game. Sometimes you can't look at it immediate
Dear all: Below I list some of the issues, problems and annoyances I run into while playing. If anyone has an idea on how to resolve any of them I would be very grateful if they'd let me know. Shortcuts 1. Is there anywhere I can find a list of shortcuts and controls for the game? (I didn't play WOM so if they share the same shortcuts and interface controls and they're listed somewhere I would appreciate a link to that one). 2. Can
Henchmen are great. However they have some issues and bugs resulting from restrictions placed on them to avoid exploits. I believe most have been posted elsewhere in separate threads, but I'm trying to unify this. Issues: 1. They can't be mounted. This is a severe penalty because any army with henchmen will have their mobility reduced, unless you find boots of speed (or celerity or whatever they're called). Moving armies from one side to the other is sort of a hass
Sounds like a reasonable request. If you know you don't want them then the only alternative currently is letting the enemy (anyone else) have them. Makes sense for a third option to be added, such as "Assassinate", which could added besides Recruit and Rename and would take you to the tactical battle mode. I don't see the need for a penalty unless you would get increased penalties in diplomacy from killing heroes from the opposite faction in addition to the ones already in place.
Not always but most of the time I (I'm now hesitant on whether this happens always or most of the time) the first unit that I can control once I go into battle is only able to move and to attack (using right click) but is not able to cast anything because the action buttons for that first turn of the first unit do not appear. This only affects that first turn for the first unit and then goes back to normal. I don't know how widespread this is but a quick search didn't find it as b
I had already erased the game where I got it. As far as I can tell it's something you can sell for 300 (400?) and that's it. You couldn't equip it.
I agree. You should be able to rearrange your army on the fly without having to disassemble and reassemble it in the order you want them. The logical way would be just clicking and dragging the heroes and soldiers into any formation you want in the 9 available slots which appear when you click on an army.
Yeah, M4-RK. What's up with that? I got it from Lady Irane once she surrendered. I hope it's not just loot, although that's what it looks like.
The cloth map look is quite gorgeous, however, for large worlds it becomes hard to read mainly because there's too much information (too many icons at the same time) and because the colors representing different empires and units are not different from each other. Using the current implementation as a base, some options (appearing whenever you're looking at the cloth map and not having to go through the menu) would make it easier to read and help you asses your situation faster.
Oh noes! Well, I guess I'll just click on the alert sign and be taken to the place it happened, right? Hmm, that didn't do it. Let me try that again... Oops, the alert is now gone. Now let's see, which one of the dozen outposts that I had was the one attacked and how can I find it if it doesn't show up anymore? There has to be a better way of implementing this alert system especially for mid or late game when your territory has expanded. If there's actually
Same issue here, black space when you select a unit and you're supposed to see the description and the graph of the unit and very slow interaction. Using a 2008 macbook pro running windows xp on osx 10.6. Will try the solution posted here.
I like many of the suggestions. One idea would be to "retire" the hero by opting for the path of the governor and giving bonuses to the city or empire if they could earn xp without fighting. A mechanism could be implemented where the 2nd and upper level traits could give negative penalties to fighting directly while making them buff cities. Maybe they could get access to unit buffing traits as well such as extra xp for units defending cities. This would be a way to have a hero whose illnesses
Agree
I agree that some sort of way for governors to gain experience without fighting could be quite useful, beyond what is offered now, which is the "hall of adventurers" and which is limited to one city per game. In order to balance their city/empire building traits they could diminish the governor hero's ability to be an effective combatant, diminishing strength or accuracy, while (maybe) allowing him to gain also some of the combat buffs abilities (to be useful while defending citie
Had the same problem with almost all of my heroes shrinking in size when I used the growth spell. Couldn't note down why some would actually grow, while others would shrink with this spell.
