I would have to side with parrottmath on this, although my description would be slightly different. Modding is a way to make the game more enjoyable to a wider audiance, its like tuning a car. You like yours stock? I want with tigher suspension, different tires, I want it tuned to how I like to play. A car manufacturer is only going to add so many customization options for the car. The rest are all aftermarket, and you

Do any other games have this problem for you? As I know that a number of games when detecting a change in display like that will freak out. You might try, setting your primary display as the external, closing your laptops lid and then starting FE.
Damn Heavenfall! You got some great looking models there. I am excited for your joint effort on this mod. It looks really awesome. Might I suggest taking some mechanic ideas from HOM VI for the water dragon? The Water Dragon in that game leaves a shimmering trail where it walks, which lasts for 1 turn, units passing over it take damage/lose movement or are slowed. I know, it might be hard to do that mechanical wise for the battle. But, its an idea! (Also maybe tak
Second question: When making a faction/race If I take the weakness for -10% research and the advantage of +10% research and start with something already researched is that always upside, or is the math done in a way to make it a bad idea? Like if you do the -10% first then the +10% it would be 99%.
I can tell you from experiance, if you get the -10% racial research reduction and the +10% hero research
4. No Its a random match from what I have seen, I got that same tip with a background of a mage tower.
You might try going into your options menu and enabling hardware mouse. Granted, this would require you have a mouse with a decent dpi correlate to a larger resolution. But, this would disable to acceleration layer in FE, which possibly would allow the mouse clicks to line up. No promises, but that would be my suggestion with the present information!

I know that I won't be able to get this done anytime real soon, so I'd like some help if someone is interested. If not, I'll keep working on it slowly but surely.
So I actually know a fair amount of xml and windows coding and will have some time starting next week if you would like some
Now I have to try that spell 0_0 Assuming of course, that my people will come back once they have been turned into money- I mean mana.
When you get a chance Ozo, could you post back if forcing the optimus hardware to run for FE did the trick for you! I'm sure there will be some folks who could benefit from knowing if that does indeed fix your problem.
Strangle him to death!
I would think, that one of the important factors here would be to make grain matter. Maybe making it a multiplier for research, production, taxes, etc etc. So a city of 500 population would have maybe 2.5 or 5 times the value for each 1 research and production (maybe that's too powerful). But that's the idea, so a city of 5,1,2 could effectively reach a considerably more valuable state than it does currently, also it would make it more realis

I believe you need to set your primary display adapter in the prefs.ini (found in 'My Documents'/'My Games'/'FallenEnchantress'/'prefs.ini'), alternately, there might be a way to set the game to use a different display adapter in the UI- not sure, will lot later when I am home. If you still have the problem then, I should be able to provide a step-by-step to get your default adapter to Elemental set.
@ozo, when I asked texture settings I meant your game settings in graphics, similar to shaders etc. not the map. There should be options for high, medium and low resolution textures. The reason I mention this is that your graphics card has a tiny pipeline and very few core processing units, handling many large textures though that will undoubtedly give you a laggy game. If you were to set your texture settings down you could probably handle the game a little better. Also, when
What are your texture settings at? Also, I assume you have an Nvidia card? Have you set any custom settings or profiles in the configuration panel?
In my humble opinion I generally go with 3/3/2 as most have stated, but for a different reason. As I generally play on epic research, casting enchanted hammers and inspiration is generally my go to start. I almost always have the scrying pool built after a building or too also which will allow me to put that last point into sovereigns call or specialize. As I do not view the bonus from sovereigns call as significant. For example, most cities level up fairly quickly, reachi
Zeldalink, make sure you make a new post in the FE support forum. The game devs probably missed your post here. Remember to include your dxdiag file in the post. Since this is a critical bug that is preventing you from using the game, they'll be very interested in fixing it.
As Heavenfall said- I'm sorry I didn't realize this was not in support. But hopefully your problem is resolve

Yeap, no problem! I sen't some more possibilities included in your PM, if you want to continue sending me any results or problems there that would be great. If something works as a solution post it here if you think of it! Otherwise mention to me, and I will make sure it gets posted. Good luck!
Yes please .... a better mechanism in the management of the store would be highly desirable. Currently it is a bit "inappropriate." It would also be nice if there were shops (weapons, armor, or objects) with their inventories scattered on the map (such as HOMM series). If then we had the ability to create magic items ad-hoc as in the old (but never forgotten) Master of Magic would be the icing on the cake.
From what it sounds like if the difference is so minimal I would say to carry on then! I am sure if nothing else by the time of release that someone will figure out how to modify the UI. Applying this to your shards would hopefully be simple! But until then, how about work on the code behind the shards and get your magic system up and running?
Alrighty, interesting. I would recommend trying to set UAC to none, and restarting then running again. Also, you can possibly try right clicking the game executable and having it run as administrator. Otherwise, you might also try installing Direct X's older runtime libraries, possibly DX9, this game user older libraries. If you have trouble finding any of these, I can link them later today when I have some time. On a side note, I know the gam
I must say, I think poineers should stay. But as a note, I also abhor the complains about 'pioneer spamming'. If you want that fixed, make monsters attack the AI the way they do the player. There, no more random outposts surviving or towns next to dragons. On the second note however, I do actually kind of like that idea. Although I think removing magic from champions is a little bit aggressive. I think, champions should be limited in how far they can advance without
Where did you install the game? Also, what do you have User Account Control Settings(UACS) set to? Edit: In addition, have you made sure you have the 2005 runtime libraries, and finally what antivirus are you using?
Interesting, my question- which might be very obvious but, perhaps I have just not seem addressed. Is, can you just add a resource slot on the opposite side, for a specific type, say your shards. Which fits next to, but not exactly in-line with the other shards? Maybe that requires a lot of work, I have not looked at how the UI is handled in this. Secondly, as a response to your debate about changing the shards I would say this, if it were me I would take the harder route. I
