@ sweatyboatman and Kalin, I think that this was the problem, indeed. (Kongdej: too late for the autosave. :( ) So, this seems to be more of a feature than a bug. Propably it would be too easy to solve the quest, when using more than one attack. So, if this works as intendend, maybe a hint would be reasonable? There are probably more new players/noobs like me, playing

Update: The final quest part was to kill "Waerloga the Dragonlord" and it's reward was indeed the "Quest of Mastery Victory". I repeated the final fight. With the same result: no victory. In addition to the "stolen" victory, it was not possible to save the game without a crash during the saving.

Yes, or "mourning". Anything, but "morning"... [e digicons]^_^[/e] MiamiBigAL: No, I didn't check it. (I'm new to the game and didn't remeber this possibility... [e digicons]-_-[/e] ) . I'll have to try it again, as I didn't save the game at this point but reloaded and allied to all remaining factions to achieve a diplomatic victory. Maybe this was only a "normal" wildland raid? (The green area disappeared in my game, by the way. I never raided a wildland

Maybe I did miss something? Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of this big quest. I was told that - after fulfilling it - I will win the game. I had to open a gate and overpower this mighty hero on his dragon. (I hope you know, what I refer to?) After some traveling from sub-quest to sub-quest, I finaly faced my destiny. The only way I could slay the mighty dragon was by weakening him with my beloved fellow heroes, leting them sacrifice themselves as a noble deed for th

Yes, it does seem to fix it. I reported this bug recently and was suprised, to find my "decapitated" souvereign well and healthy the next time I started a new game. And, as StevenAus stated, the bug occured after a defeat.

Maybe I haven't played the game long enough to have enough knowledge for a judgement. So, I don't know whether or not the knights are waked up like every other monster? If yes, I don't see a problem per se. There where deadlier monsters in my games (normal difficulty) so far. But I've seen them wandering around without "weaking-up-trigger", if I remember correct. If this is true, the knights should definitely spare cities and maybe outposts, too. After all, the

One thing could be a little bit unbalanced, though: If the army inside the city could restore the defence in the proposed way

Most recently, I pre-ordered E-FE and had my first games with the actual build v.914. I had much fun, so far! [e digicons]^_^[/e] But playing a beta is not only about fun. It's about finding and reporting bugs. So, here we go: 1. Bug: In my very first game, I designed the souvereign and some units (spearmen, scouts), too. As usual in a new game, I had some problems at first, so I restarted the

Glowing_Ember, you are right! [e digicons][/e] The issue I descirbed above was under the impression of those "Let's play" videos, as I did write. Now, as I had the opportunity to see it in "real life" (Yes, I joined " the team "...! [e digicons]^_^[/e] ), I think that everything is allright! Maybe, it was due to an earlier build, maybe because of the tester's game settings or their computer. Anyway, in my first games, the number

Personally, I don't mind the health bar. I even like it! What bothers me from all the "Let's play" videos I saw so far, is the timing of it's update. I think, there was already a post, mentioning this. Right now, it works like this: Start an attack, see the result immediately (due to health bar change), wait for the animation and "health-reduction-numbers". To be honest, this is not very tantalizing! It should be quite the

Ah, OK. Thank you for the clarification. Obviously, "the frog" is somebody, I should have known... ;) Well, if there is no other possibility, I'll take what I can get.

Oh. Is this official , or do you just believe it? It is not less money, than you would pay for any other expansion, too. And most of them are boxed.

As my question is (slightly) related to this topic and I didn't want to start a new thread for this, hopefully someone could answer my question here: I just decided to pre-order the game. Watching those "Let's play" videos gave me the impression, that E-FE might be a decent game, when finished. I still have some issues with tactical combat (no range penalty for archers, no line of sight), but I really think, I will enjoy the game. As I am a little bit old fashioned, I

Thank you for your elaborate answer, Tuidjy. I don't question your experience and knowledge in programming a tactical combat AI and therefore don't disbelieve in your judgment. Even more, I can not argue at the same level of knowledge, as my own experience is (mostly) that of an user of computer games, not that of a programmer. All in all, I think, it boils down to the question: " How clever do I want the AI to use the given rule set? " Personally, I am

Hi to all! First, I have to say that Elemental: Fallen Enchantress looks *so* great and promising! I started to watch "Let's Play" Videos only some days ago. (Not this one jet, but I'll do so for sure!). I like so many things about this game. The graphical representation is only one of them, but not the least. But this is not the reason of this post... I just registered to throw in a comment, even if discussion moved on already: I want to refer to the
