Commanders are by far the strongest sovereigns, especially if you take - the race Tarth because their double attack is made with -15 % hit chance or - the race Trogs because the juggernauts can attack several times until their goal avoids an attack and the juggernauts lose -15 % hit chance with each attack. For both races the Commander ensures that they will always hit! 2nd reason: The bonus to initiative ist awesome! Attacking first (and more often)

Are you sure? The description says that the attacker must make a spell resistance check. I understand it this way: The attackers spell mastery against the defenders spell resistance. That would make sence. If it works how you explain (attackers spell resistance versus defenders spell mastery) this would greatly favor a mage because this class has a huge spell mastery AND it can reduce the casting time by -1 (cloak of fear has a casting time of +1). So a mage with high initiative

Some races have special units: - Ironeers: Golems - Trogs: Juggernauts - Sions, henchmen... First I want to ask you which of these two are stronger: Who would win a duel? Second: To my opinion they are too weak later on. A troop of 6 men can have an attack of 100+ and gets +12 life per level. This is much more in comparison with these special units.

Does there exist a list of all possible quest maps you can get with this special trait (don't know the name now) for 100 gold each map with all rewards? I wan't to know wheater this trait is worth it...

Well, I try to improve the army constantly. As soon as I have an Air Elemental, the army is pretty strong. I once won a tiny map on turn 27! The Sovereign, Ceresa, is the most powerful unit. Every time she levels and/or gains a powerful spell like Mana Blast, the army will become stronger. If I am lucky enough to get a dragon or Consume Spirit (from the Gallowman), the game is won. Otherwise, it will involve a lot of tough battles. </

'Enchanters' is the name of the trait. The building is called 'Scrying Pool', which literally means 'Wahrsagerbecken'. Short: You are right. I made a mistake. Question: When (which turn) can you build your strong army to deal with the enemies? To my opinion mages are the best choice because the AI builds troops with high armor. And for this I need crystal.

1. The henchmen are as weak as the heroes. They make less damage and have much less life then a troop. 2. I need escape. The beasts are too strong for my starting army and I want to pick up some items. 3. Earth magic is by far better then water magic. You need the highest possible production to get all necessary buildings. You get the +1 research easily by building the first research building (working room). 4. In a small map I can normally build 2 cities. I don&

After much more trys I now favor the following strategy: (first I must say that I play on the smallest map with 11 enemies on the 2nd highest word- and enemy-difficulty) 1. I take Tarth as race (the double attack is awesome); my hero becomes a scientist with earth and life magic, 500 gold, +1 life/level, escape from battle and clumsy; race traits are fortune teller basin, fast, accurate and no armor. Reasons: I want to raise research as much as possible, life magic

I have the following question: What happens if the Sion becomes a 6 man troop? (why not a 9 man troop???) => Life, Damage and so on... 6 x Damage?? So a Warrior can heal himself 6x6 per hit?

No, there is written: "Frenzy" (didn't know how it was called in English): + 4 initiative and +1 move per level!!! The juggernauts have two great disadvantages: I believe they can't carry a bow or a staff (so you can't make range units of them) and they only get +2 life per level (normal stacks get 6x2=12) but the +4 initiative....

I just finished playing a game with the race trogs with graveyard, lucky, fast and beeing able to convert shards into death-shards. Unfortunately the game had an error at turn 100 or so. So I have the following questions: Can the juggernauts wear armor? Are they the only units getting +4 initiative per level as a possible feature? It seems that I still need food for growth. I believe that only the feature "undead" makes such food-buildings obsolete?

Due to your hints I spot that there is a new race called Undead with -2 to initiative AND there are two new benefits below which you can take with each race: graveyard and undead. So I can take humans as race with the benefit undead... But then I still don't understand why I should take the race Undead. It only gives a disadvantage of -2 initiative. Others like the ironeers give +30 spellresistance and so on. Thank you.

I yesterday buyed the Addon with the Undead. But why should I take them??? The race-benefit is "-2 initiative". Wow!!! I didn't find the spell Morgannas Call, couldn't research it or whatever, altough I had Death-Magic. And I had two Death-shards!!! So what??

Kann es sein, daß das neue Untoten-Modul für mich (deutsche Version) noch nicht verfügbar ist? Could it be that the new Undead-pack is not available for the german version?? I only see the price of € 5,-.

Merlinme: I agree to you that "Juggernauts are the best units". But you are fatally wrong if you think it doesn't take long to research them. That seems only true on first sight!! I played a game with this race and I was not stoked. LIFE raises the city growth in such a way that you get much earlier to the next city level(s). And this gives you a great benefit to research and production! As a result of this you will have mages/archers who are able to deal with the Juggernaut

Sorry, but I don't really understand you. 1. Which difficulty level is "ridiculous"? Highest, second hightest? 2. Lady Irane has a "normal" bow? Each sovereign can start with this bow. What do you mean? 3. I already wrote that I prefer mages. For them I need crystal; thus I try to grad up my towns as soon as possible (level 4 conclave gives +2 crystal every round). 4. To my opinion shooters are always stronger then melee units, even the weak archers y

What I read from you is all true. But that doesn't really help. Why? I want to answer this by sharing my experience with you. I now play the second highest difficulty level (I don't know the name in english). I tried several strategies and lost. Now I try to boost research, population growth and production. The goal is to get an army of mages as soon as possible. To win a battle it is important that your troops can act first (that means they need a high

If you're going to reload from a save, quit the game and load from a freshly started instance. Minimizes crashes almost to the point of non-existence. I don't understand this.
