How is the faction power calculated? To speak from my own experience it has only something to do with the military power?! It always decreases/increases when I get or lose a unit. When my city gets a level or I researched a new technology nothing happens. I also suppose that the strength of the units is not calculated either; only the mass of units. I am wright?

This would make the battles more tactical! As I have mentioned in another thread I feel that Stardock was looking too much into the technical aspects at this stage of the game and lost sight of deeper game mechanics. I hope they will now take a closer look at the tactical battles and faction diversity. There are a lot of good sugestions in this forum! :)

I know that I am always talking about FFH2 but this is a great mod. Why not creating some Master Quests for each factions like in FFH2? This will also do a lot to the faction diversity.

As an old fan of text adventures I was thinking about adding them into FE. I know that at this point Stardock cant do that because there is a lot of other things to do but maybe text adventures can be added as a mod. Like in King Arthur this would be give FE a great immersion. The basic concepts and technical aspects are already implemented into the game. What do you guys think about it?

I like the idea champions having a party. I would also like it when some mighty campions creating their own neutral cities and attacking the player. Like in Civ5 champions could be handled like the city states :) Empire Heroes attacking Kingdom factions et vice versa.

FE has a wonderful engine, nice graphic styles and a good tactical base layer. After playing the beta 2 a lot it feels that the balance and the diversity is still in its childrens shoes. I read on the internet that FE is gonna be out end march but i feel that is too early. Now in this stage of the beta Stardock has a lot to do making each faction different and making the gameplay deeper with a more realistic weapon handling. Faction dfference and weapon handling are going hand in hand. Consid

As the title of this post says: we need more feedback from the game 1) if a unit has moving points left. When a unit is not on "guard mode" the game should give the player the information that a unit can move if he pushes the end turn button (like in Civ4). 2) if an enemy is in sight (not only in our territory). Like in Civ4 we need the feedback from the game when one of my unit can see an enemy unit (maybe only when in "guard mode"). &nbs
It reminds me on the great Mod for Civ 4 Master of Mana. You can choose between a Noble, a Sage, and a Merchant District and your choice affects the later buildings and gold income, mana and culture (city growth). That would be a nice feature for FE too in my opinion.

As a new user of Stardock I was asking myself if there is a limit of possible installations for my games or does Stardock handles it like Steam?

We shall see.
Can you send me the link for the sale? I want to buy it too but 39 Dollars and FE in front of the door is too expensive for me.

You spoke out what I suspected. I am not a part of the beta and i have never played the predecessor. Though I am very interested in "FE" I got the feeling that the battles are the worst part of the game. I watched some "lets play the beta" videos and was thinking the same you did. Maybe another one from the beta who is also deeper into the battle system can say something how it plays. I was wondering too that there are no obstacles like a tree, a wall, a stone or maybe a river with a small br
