Really a matter of personal preference. There are a few different types of combat used in 4X games. You have the Civ style where one unit interacts with another unit and the outcome is decided very quickly. Then the Total War style where the battle is much more detailed, involved, and can last an hour. And recently you have the Endless Space style where combat is a quick cut scene influenced by cards. I have to agree with the original poster. This game is a solid 8 as it stands now. Certainly lightyears ahead of that 4X imposter StarDrive that was released a while ago. There is nothing in LH that is a game breaker for me. Of course there are areas that I would like to see improved like diplomacy and such but nothing game ending. Congrats to Stardock and team.
Thanks for the work around and it's certainly not game breaking but it would be nice if it was changed in some future update.
First off I’d like to say congratulations to both Kael and Stardock. I really believe you are on to something big with Legendary Heroes. The first time I played Fall from Heaven 2 I was blown away. I couldn’t believe it was just a mod. It appears that Legendary Heroes is right up Kael’s alley and I’m sure the finished product will be great.
