I was clearing out a scrapyard area (with lots of scrap gollums) when an Altarian pioneer comes by, walks onto a tile with a wildling rider's army and.... nothing happens. They stack armies, and nobody dies.

Yeah, I just got the same thing last game...
I know there is a desire to avoid feature creep, but I really would like to create an "Unsullied" unit... and that would involve a shield and a spear. Maybe it could be a trait, or a tech, or magic... somehow... would like to make Unsullied :D
I concur - leveling is too slow atm, which is a huge bummer b/c I want to try the new skills but never get over level 7 before the game is over (on a large map!)
Well - after 18 hrs in the beta and some forum perusing, here are a few of the suggestions/thoughts for the game: 1 - Some kind of revamp of the outpost system, as pioneers are costly. 2 - Allow over-9-capped city plots in wildlands to be generated 3 - Heroes/Sovs should level faster than atm (way too slow) 4 - Skill tree re-structure, especially for warrior, to ensure interest 5 - Complet
I also had this happen with a random hero who had the "command" skill... it just kept on coming back to him for infinite turns.
I think having over-9-capped cities in wildlands is a GREAT idea!!! It would make the wildlands worthwhile to conquer, and (IMO) be okay with balancing issues.
Even with the split in mind (I have started another game as well), I still feel like my champs/sov level really slowly.
Alrighty - let me start by saying that FE was already a very good game, and LH is just a wonderful step in the right direction and I am overall very, very happy with it as a game. I read in the changelog about how champion exp gain was modified... and I am well in the mid-game of a huge map, and have had maybe around ~20ish battles with my Sov, and given him "Potential I", and he is still level 6. I fought a Shrill Lord and got like.... 5 xp from it. No Bueno. &
