I have had this issue with fences ever since doing a clean rebuild with Win 7 64 bit.... the slightest change to any icon in a group... e.g. rename or drag a new one in or out and then 3 explorer restarts before fences disables itself due to the errors. If you immediately re-enable the same crash repeats. Only a cold reboot will get it working again. Tried running in a very cut down mode... disabled and quit AV, vnc server and as much as i could switch off in the systray.... even tried disabling all of these in MSconfig and rebooting... still no different..! List of apps I have there when PC is fully up RealVNC server, Avast Antivirus, Daemon Tools, Nero Mediahome, Cisco Network Magic, Steam, Xfire, Realtek Audio manager + the usual Volume, USB unplug..... regards Robskij

I have exactly the same issues... Fence lite worked fine with XP SP2 32bit and 64 bit.... Now i've gone to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on all machines (all virgin builds, not performed as upgrades) everything was perfectly fine until fences was installed... Since then any shortcut creation, renaming, or anything that has any interaction to so with the desktop icon sets then explorer stops responding and restarts.... Remove fences... problem solved...
