If the planets have a Sentient civilization on them when you colonize what happens to their Governments when your colony pods land?

Yes,but the ruling faction would probably imprison the rebellious colonists and confiscate their property and possessions and they would probably execute a few rebellious natives, which would lead to further unrest and plus the planetary ground forces would probably join the rebels and realizing the colony was lost the ruling faction would destroy their own infrastructure for whatever reason.

You know how in the manual it says "Once a new planet has been secured, a Protev is called in to deploy settlers and administrators on the new world." It also says "...the Jarun safely ferries civilians critical to the survival of the Vasari species and experienced Xeno administrators between the stars." I was just wondering, you've destroyed the Government facilities on a planet, the people are mostly in refug

Why would you have to upgrade Civilian Infrastructure on formally neutral planets that already have a Sentient civilization, complete with large cities and established Governments on the surface?

I'd imagine the native civilians and citizens living on the surface, along with the factional citizens living in atmospheric cities, would be disgruntled with the ruling faction because of propaganda would, when the Planet Allegiance gets very low(like about 30-20%), they would slowly start attacking low level Government facilities like post offices, banks, etc then it would slowly progress up to medium and high le

XxTaLoNxX, I would think that orbital bombardment targets and destroys Government facilities, therefore creating chaos and anarchy across the planet and forcing most of the civilians into refugee camps so I doubt they would be paying taxes while they are without adequate food, water, sanitary conditions, shelter, power, and medical care. <span style="font-f

You know when you conquer a planet you have to upgrade the Civilian Infrastructure (which is basically building advanced surface cities along with infrastructure such as: transportation network roads/rails/tunnels, energy creation and distribution facilities, communications networks, housing/shelter, manufacturing plants, and water and waste management) Why would building cities make people pay taxes?</sp

If the TEC controled settlements by use of promovement propaganda and martial law, how would they gain citizens if they destroyed the colony's defense fleet and then sent down an occupation force?

Yes,this is a random thought, I know, but humor me. I know that the Vasari would garrisonground troops in surface settlements and their Administrators stay in orbit, and the Advent would use Missionaries to convert the populace,so my question is:How would the TEC control surface settlements on their conqu

You know how in the Civilian Infrastructure blurb,it says "Through advanced terraforming and city planning..." well when ever you take over an Asteroid why would you terraform it? Also when you first colonize a planet, you build surface cities for the civilians(Civilian Infrastructure),why after your colony is bombed to dust do you have to upgrade the Civilian Infrastruc

I just had a thought, that if the Vasari rule from orbit why would build Civilian Infrastructure and Emergency Infrastructure on their controlled planets?
