Its not a bug. Its fully intentional that elemental needs to be able to connect to Stardock in order to run the beta patches. If you have issues with this stick to the release patches. Most likely this is user error of some type.. your firewall blocking elemental etc. Once the changes are finalized.. they will release 1.2 which being a full release patch will not require you to connect. I can see it for FE. As far as EWOM.. that would be rediculous seeing as the box sitting right here says and i quote " Compete against up to 16 human or computer players locally or online". Yes.. i bought 2 copies for this purpose. Only to find out later that multiplayer is gutted and not worth playing. I'll add that competitive multi with random people is a feature i would't touch.. but LAN or freindly play with my roommate definately.

Its an ongoing process if your meeting OOM errors. If its other types of crashes then make sure you post your debug files EWOM creates.

What version are you running? (since you didn't mention it its hard to answer your questions) Patches are via impulse so if you are still running an older version then update with impulse.(you can uninstall impulse after you patch if you want) Crashes are far less common with the newest patch(especially compared to the straight off the disc version).. and they are constantly working on more patches.

don't know if you know about this. But there are separate switches for each of the AIs individual difficulty and for the world difficulty. So to get most challenge one must set both the world difficulty and EACH AIs difficulty to the maximum. If you've already been doing this then disregard my post. Figured i'd mention it though cause some people mistakenly think setting the world difficulty up does both. Another mistake people do is setting one AIs difficulty level up instead of all

Funny thing is people give out their full SS# willingly on a daily basis. Apply for a job? Full SS# required on the application. Apply for a credit card, bank account, utility hook up etc etc. In the case of a job application.. the employer doesn't need it on the application.. only once you have been hired, how many people have access to that application and ALL your data? Point is SS#s (and all your personal data) are floating around easily accessed, and no one seems to care about it
