Actually, if DRM is the problem, don't buy the game AND don't play/talk about/etc the thing in any shape of form. Both pirating and cracking software has the side-effect of giving the DRM'd companies mind-share, the only good way to fight DRM is by making companies that rely on it lose both Money and mind-share.
Draco, Food in 1.09e is kinda like your city tiles. It doesn't accumulate per turn like other resources, you just "use up" your available food resources when building city enhancements that require it. From memory just money-generating and population-generating buildings require food so far. That means that the initial +2 food bonus allows you to build 2 more food-consuming buildings early in the game, it can be a blessing for rush-expansion tactics. Chee

Will wait for 1.1 to do the nicer-looking spell list version, and am working on a quick open office spreadsheet with all spells for both factions (since one gets the Life book, the other gets the death book). Any way we can help with it? Probably during the Beta of 1.1, I'd be willing to review stuff / make suggestions /etc (and I am fairly sure many more people here would be willing as well).
All, I am new to the game, and used the Hiergamenon link in the website to plan my research given the tech trees there. Is there a similar tree for the existing spells and their book dependencies? If not, would it be OK to create a PDF with them and post here, or do we need to send to someone in Stardock for approval first (since it would be using their icons from the spells). Cheers, -Fernando
