2. Research is moving along much more slowly, despite the fact that Othollo found four lost libraries pretty much next to each other. My total production is about 120. For comparison, in my last playthrough, I had a single city with production 110 by turn 25.
Yah, I think they did this on purpose [e digicons]o_O[/e]

Did a full re-install and things seem to be working as advertised. Thanks all!!! [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
I'd like to see all basic weapons, even if crappy versions, available turn one to everybody (unless your faction isn't able to use certain weapons.) The techs should upgrade the quality. Something like: wood/stone > bronze > iron > steel > tempered steel > masterwork steel > mithril (metal + crystal) Well, this may be too many options, but you get the point.

This patch hasn't come out yet.
Fire damage is also subject to resistance/vulnerability. Just sayin'.
I had "clean" XML going into .980. Then I tried to make a couple of minor changes, but I couldn't get them to show up in-game. I think I installed the .980b patch thinking it was another major patch. Maybe it did do something... Not a big deal...I'll try later.
Hey guys - Since .980 I can't get my changes to show up in the game. I thought they shut off the online xml check. I've tried use mods, -localdataonly, regular startup...all with no effect. Any ideas? Thanks.
1) They are not being consistent, as you can snake towards ANY other resource, pushing it to be within your cultral borders so that you can improve upon it. Rivers and Forests should be no different. 2) Snaking is awesome and should be allowed. 3) Of the few cities that you build in a game, it's nice to be able to get the most out of them, even if that means you have to strategically decide HOW you want your city to grow
I'm getting more stutter in the cloth map mode than 3d mode with .980.
I believe, currently, only critical attacks from melee damage get highlighted and bolded in red. Attacks and effects from other sources (ranged, spell, abilities) currently do not get highlighted.
What's the difference, as long as everyone's playing by the same rules. First people call to nerf snaking cities, now you want a reason to snake them again? Get real.
I essentially agree.

AI is still building outposts too close together.
I have always complained that level 4 and level 5 spellbook traits come too early in the game. Those Fire and Earth elementals kill anything the enemy factions can throw at me. A Focus+Flamedart kills most champions. But why? 1) Is it because those spells are overpowered? 2) Is it because I abuse a mechanic to gain sudden advantage and strike just before they can do the same? and/or 3) Is it because I
You can not level up life magic with fallen build.
I don't think all of the technology descriptions have been updated yet.
Actually, this happened to me in a fresh.980 game, so i can confirm.
but if all levels above 15 took A LOT longer, it would be only for the better.
No thanks. I like the way heroes level. I think trained units need to be brought in line to that.
Yeah it seems that monsters are grouping up again.
The cityhuibs on the world map change as well.
Maybe I misunderstood the changelig but where are the city graphics reflected? On the regular map? The cloth map? The medallions?
The cityhubs now change appropriately with the city's upgrade choices.
