anyone else gettin the problem where on certain planets ur approval has severlly droped because of over population. And does anyone know a way to over come this. i have already tried building a troop transports and load my population off but as fast as i can produce them is as fast as the population increases.

for any herbivor animal , when it is being chased all it needs to do is run and save its self (which does not require alot of thinkin) while workin in packs to hunt, requires alot more thinkin . Also one of the most important things that ive said before is food for intelligence, u have to have a high protein diet which comes from animals, thats y u see sheep and other herbivors eat all day long coz there food isnt as concentrated ( and for a h
well , in evolutionary terms, having a brain is a disadvantage, u need to wait alot of time for ur children to grow up and learn, also the brain is like a vacum cleaner when it comes to energy, so for a herbafor it would be an advanatge to grow an extra stomach instead of a brain (also a brain requires alot of protein, thats y meat is essencial for a brain) secondly, people are there most creative and resourseful when there lifes are on the li
i think havin a retreat option should not have any restriction on ur good or evil rating or have a moral penalty . in war you have to expect losses (a fundamental principle) the only real difference is how w much you lose, and i think a lost battle is beter then a lost war . Also i think retreating should just be a option for battle -perhaps a time limit instead, e.g you have to wat a certain amount of time in the battle before your ships can flee th
well as you said nothin is impossible , so y would blockadin ur last okanet make a diffrence then
well the battle yiou were talkin about sounds quite plausable, but i think its more fun to see ur ships fire the crap out of each other
well seein by the time we make advance space flight and even meet an agressive race, then tech would probably get so advance that we could fly drones with brain waves and i think our tech would be so diffrent that the basic principles we take for granted . but i think for time being we should keep things more limited and i dare say ' down to earth' for example when u were talkin about tech and concepts changin by the day, i think missles would become obsolete quite quickly , such as most
i was playin MOO3 yesterday and i knowtice that u could propose bills with the galactic senate and one of them was GS to delclarie war with a faction for either a short peroid of time or long term, i think that would be perfect way to stop someone from gettin to big and killin everyone without a real fight, you would just have to make sure there person u delclair war on couldnt vote, because if they were big with alot of influence then they could just vote no by them selfs and beat everyone el
was havin a go of the MOO3 60 mins trial and had a look at some of the stuff u could do with the senate, best thing i thought first of all was you were able to propose bills (which i thought was great) but to keep to the topic, u could impose trade sanctions which is a close replacement for a blockade
i also think space battles would follow a similar path as naval battles (since both have a very similar way of fighting, i think like modern warfare and the battles of WW2 that big ships would play a big role but one of the most important roles would be smaller more nimble fighters (which i think one of the best ships u should be able to buy instead of a bigbattle ship would be a large carrier. one last note, my history is rough but wasnt midway won with a couple of small errors which lead to
i agree with Yaguer, keep them similar to the way they are now, but add a couple of new diplomacy options
im goin to guess theres not, because if there was, then they would jjst release it for teh mac
i normally like to plan ahead and a demo before is great for that, i find if a demo is out a bit before, then u can think about when u have time to get (or make time) also i find if a demo isnt released before then u normally judeg to buy a game on its review, and i wont waste my money (since im a student and always broke) and wont buy a game under a 90% (even thought potentially i could find it the best game ive ever playec)
i thought the ship battles in ST-THG where not all bad (specailly if graphics were up to date) . also if anyone has played the imperial galactic 3 demo (before it changed to NEXUS) was such a great way to have battles, the way the ships slowly manoverd and the nice affects as the sheilds took damage, i think a less sophisticated version of this would be good (just a watchin one so the main focus is kept on the bigger view)
i think keepin it simple is the best feature
P.P.S. I think it is telling that 11% (205.26 people) chose multiplayer above the others listed, it's hard to chose anything over the option to design your own ships (that is way to cool a feature). I see the 11% as significantly high. its about making the most amount of people happy as possible, just like 10% of a nation may vote for a
i think more or less everything tim said was right on about more or less everything he said, one way of gettin past this virtual money is by if the ship in orbit jammed the planets communication, this would mean that the planet is no longer able to send information to main government (this would also mean that ship could no longer be built because the government agin isnt able to pay for it). i think the only specific ships that can blockade are the decent size ships (this would just really exc
i think if you have a clock ship you should still know where it is yet you dont know what kind of ship is there or even the number in a fleet. it means that way an fleet is secretly passing by your ships and destroy all your planets without even knowing
i think there should be a standard of what a blockade does (keep it simple) so its not goin to be diffrent with ship numbers and class.
i aways thought that since ur playin the computer, the computer knows all (so u could never really make them fall for a safe sence of sercurity) so i was more of the build over whelming army and crush them
well i think this wouldnt be as hard to add in as you think BAttleborn (not 2 months anyway) but i think balancing the game will be the hard part. I think the first thing we should think about how well blockades work is by how easy it is to blockade, if it involves a any ship any where can do it the effects should be minimal (say a decrease in funds and slow the production) but if you find u need a large task force to reach there planet then the effects should be increased far mor
lol. i think its just 1 person wantin mulityplayer with many acounts . also u can really only get a beta by preording the game, so u already payed so the comapny is loosin nothin from a beta to already payin the custermers
well i think the true point of this mod is really to throw around idears. At the end of the day we have almost no say what is in the final product, and we're just throwing around idears and support so incase the game designers decid to take this idear then they have some quick idears already made (should be agood reason to continue this topic) Also id like to remind during the first world war when Germany was starved out by British navy i cant remember the exact numbers but im sure the
lol. i want a nudest colony then ( and the windy planet is the number 1 tourist place )
i you blockade a castle, ur not going to close enough to hit the door but a bit further off, also if there was ship yard built, it could be low orbit which will be in the defense range of planartary defense. Oh Wait. No ships in orbit? So what happens when that planet builds a ship. well i think if its built by a shipyard you could just stay
