Specifically for summons, I'd say that they should remain powerful, but summoning them should use up your essence like Imbue Champion does, though it should probably return the essence once the summon dies/is unsummoned. That, along with having a global mana pool, should do well to make them much less abusable.
but there are resources for those also...
I thought it was obvious that the normal resources for horses and such would be removed. Or they could be left in as rarer resources that produce more horses/diplomatic capital. So, in the current game, resources are pretty straightforwards. Fertile land, build a farm. Gold vein, build a mine. Lost Library, reclaim it. However, does anyone know if it would be possible to set it up so you could build different types of buildings for each resource? For example, Fertile Land: You can build a Farm (produces food), OR you can build a Horse Ranch (produces horses), OR you can build a City Park (produces prestige), OR you can build a Royal Garden (pro

Semi-simultaneous turns would be great. You can build structures/start training units/fiddle with your tech at any time during the turn, but you can only move your units when your turn is up. Maybe have two buttons: End tactical turn (to let the next player move his units) and end strategic turn, which you hit when you're done micro-managing your empire. The turn as a whole doesn't end until everyone has hit the second button, so if you want to change your training in response to something th

Having Janusk is nice, it lets sovereigns who dump champion-recruiting stuff get at least ONE champion, who I then imbue and let do all of my spellcasting. Without him, it would be a lot harder to have a sovereign that focuses on the martial stuff, since magic is just such an important part of the game. Sovs with high charisma and such will still be able to get a lot more champions, so it's not like it makes dumping charisma into a no-brainer or anything. That said, hav

Pioneers should indeed cost more, but they should cost more in terms of population. Population should also be more important instead of just a "level up" mechanic. What I'm envisioning: Pioneers cost 10 population. When you establish a city, it start out with 10 people. All buildings (except for housing and maybe a few others) cost population to construct. However, they don't consume the population so much as they "reserve" it. If the building isn't fully staffed, then

Hello champions. Look at your sovereign, now back to me, now back at your sovereign, now back to me, sadly, he isn't me. But if he stopped using non-magical armor, he could look like he is me. Look down, Back up. Where are you? You are on a flying city, with the sovereign that your sovereign could look like. What's that in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's a new city with two of those resources you love, now look again, the

This would indeed make things much easier to work with. What do you mean by "shift pivot" though? Like, hold shift and click somewhere to make the model face that way? That would be very nice as well, though I suppose maybe harder to implement. Another thing that needs changing is that you can't move stuff around after you've placed it. At best, you can fiddle with it's offset, but that's difficult to use, especially with the sliders, and it's not exactly precise.

Why are these costs so high? I t just feels wrong to be the supreme tyrant of a huge empire that's got legions of soldiers decked with plate and wielding magical swords...and you can't even afford to equip yourself with a lousy scimitar and light plate. Why can't you just have one of your smiths craft you what you need? Suggestion: Make all items that you have tech for purchasable by spending the same amount of gold/materials/metal/etc th
