When i read Dereks second post, it seems like he find the time to (really) play the game. I think this very important. Furthermore between the lines we can read something about the differences of factions. :D

Maybe we need a Dev journal with lots of UI detail.
Sure, but, when i see the "recruit champions" screen. - it looks cool, stylish and it has all infos you need - i can´t belive that the rest is worse. Thanks Derek. Another journal that makes me more and more excited. :)
Click on "train unit", then click on Pioneer. Now leave "Train unit" and return to "train unit" again. Pioneers costs now by 10 materials and you could train cheaper single units like in pre 1.2beta. (i hope its understandable :) )
Yeah. I know. But it is a bug ;) And i thought that with 1.3 the foodcost per hut increase. But i´m not sure. So i only wrote that every hut cost 1 food. :)
But every hut you build costs 1 food.
The beta should be out in about a month.
[e digicons]:O[/e] Reading this, while drinking a beer. Now i can clean my keyboard. [e digicons][/e]
shouldn't say this (not publicly anyway) but FE is a little discouraging to me as I don't think anyone is going to want to play WOM after FE is available. I was hoping that FE and WOM would just be different but FE is just better. One of the
I am too surprised that the game still has so many bugs and I am not happy with it either but would never talk here in this community in a tone like you did in your opening post. Stardock is by my mind one of the few companies out there that really cares about their customers and it seems to me when I look around in these forums that they also are trying hard to get Elemental fixed. Not to forget how they communicate with their customers! They are pr
Yeah, its a beta. Bugs are normal. But to be honest. I hadn´t expect this. This build was in QA and its not only a late game problem. Whatever the game says about needings for the next study, labor -> population, huts -> food, it doesn´t use it right from the beginning.
Hi Frogboy, could you say, when will there be the next patch or a fix for this one? It would be nice to play/test more with the new features, but at the moment with the new population-system out of control, it is not really meaningful. Thanks.
There's nothing to find other than brown, flat land and maybe an inn that looks exactly like all other inns, and maybe a quest you have done 100 times already. I don't care about the world around me or my kingdom. Zero immersion.
Valid statement. I don´t think that this will ever change. I "solved" this problem by not playing large or medium maps anymore. Small map with 3-5 oppenents and you don´t have too much boring land masses.
I have played 2h yesterday. I think, when the pop.thing and growing house/food thing works as intended, when there are more events and the tactical AI is better, then 1.3 is the same big step like 1.1 was. It feels like this is the right direction.:) Most of the things are already described by other players in this thread. I don´t have to add something.
I like that I'm not being mobbed by champions now, but maybe the spawn rate is a little too slow?
</p
- movement speed, tactical battle speed and game speed is much better. I like that. - goodie huts with items are nice. I like finding things. ;) But that makes the game even easier. - my sov knows the spells Return, Lower Land, Arcane Arrow right from the beginning. Is this intended? Couldn´t notice anything else, because the game crashed. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12734598/debug.err </p
EDIT/ *blind* Dsraider already asked it.... -.-
double post ...sry
Unit Abilities: Drill - Unit starts at 2nd level Armor: The Wall - A magical breastplate with increased defense
I´m curious to test all the new and old (but new ;) ) feature frogboy. Thank you for don´t giving up on E:WoM. :)
It looks and sounds really good. Can´t wait to test it. :) Thanks for the passion, elemental - team. :)
You are right. Patches for balancing and tweaking, thats what i meant. I don´t think that there will be heavy stability probs. Demo was stable for me. And yeah, i´m excited too. Good turnbased strategy games are rare. Thats what brought me here to stardock last august. :) Stardock and paradox and the connected/related/associated? smaller indi developer teams seems to be the last ones, who knows what makes older PC gamers happy. ;) :) (surely th
The devs wrote that they will work on that. But they said also that we should not expect big steps. I understand it. I mean there is really much to calculate. And overall... I think after release the game needs serveral patches. But i have the feeling the devs will stay with the game for a couple of time and again... 20 bucks. ;)
:) I was thinking about posting this game, but i was too lazy, because its everytime hard to post in a foreign language. (i know. Its only english ;) ) Anyway.... i´ve played the demo and it seems that this game will be deep and complex turnbased strategy game. And 20€ for a brand new game!!!!! Sure i will buy it.
@Jalida http://www.gamingnexus.com/Article/Elemental-Fallen-Enchantress-Interview/Item3050.aspx
To those that feel burned on War of Magic I love that Stardock has committed to giving them a free copy of Fallen Enchantress (if they bought before 12/31/2010) and both expansions if they bought before October 31st, 2010.
And if you bought WoM
I understand your frustration, but the game works fine on my system and the peformance after 1.2 is much better.
But, I respect that they are working to fix what they perceive to be the game's problems, and because of that, I'll stick by them as a consumer.
another amen... :) And i played around hundred turns and the peformance was a lot better/faster. (never had ooms from the beginning)
Seriously? A Hater? I have continued to play this game until today, letting patches and developers beat me like a red headed step kid. I want to like this game so bad it isn't even funny anymore. Yes that trait was removed several patches ago. Why? And with this patch the last ruler with it had it removed. Is that clear now? Can any of you apologists give me any reason why? Just to make a broken game even more painful? Why is it that t
Yea, I mean the OP. I am soooo wanting this game to work (Run & Fun). And it's ran well for me for awhile, so I am waiting for the fun. 1.1 was fun for a short time, but with quest being meaningless, factions being generic, and combat and gear being unbalanced, the fun didn't last.
Exactly. And overall.... it felt everytime the same. And it wasn´t a challenge, even on ridicolous. (and i´m a fun player and no strategic freak). It
