It wasn't just availability, it was cost, I have major trouble keeping more than one army (and thus splitting the heroes out).

[quote who="moi-meme" reply="36" id="3071820"] Sore think is that there is a Reference in this kind of games, and like it or not, all decent reviewers will use that Reference to measure the game. The Reference is called Master of Magic. And unfortunately, FE really pales in tactical and strategic choices, as well as in game balance when you compare it to the Reference. It is much better on the graphic side and map layout and unit customization, but that'

I'd like to write my own post, but I'm afraid that if we all go mad, the Beta Help will lose focus so I'll throw my weight behind this post. Which was very well written. In particular the argument against heroes vs units which I've seen played out. I would love to have a few armies with a hero commanding each but honestly. I can't afford an army, even a low level crap one. Well one, but no more than that? Gav

[quote who="Tridus" reply="122" id="2867065"] Quoting Panda_Power, reply 116It makes me wonder if Kael and Jon Shafer maybe just can't see doing anything with EWOM and want to start from scratch. It also seems a bit early to be talking about heading up a new team for a completely new project/game when there still seems so much to be done to EWOM. I just don't really buy the whole, "we don't need expansion packs in this day and age" story. Who is going to keep an old

What bothers me about this thread is the number of people (one even threatening to bring the law into it) demanding their free expansions. Now I understand perhaps slightly how that can happen, but for me Brad's original 'pitch' was more an apology to people who bought the game before it's release and was a great offer. 'Sorry guys for messing this one up, here have the next couple for free! Oh and I'll extend this offer a bit so other people can check it out now whilst the

I just hope I'm still not showing as a pirate. My fiancee (with the help of my flatmate) bought me this a month ago for our first anniversary. I don't knpw if it's registered to my account or not. I tried the account merge thing, but I don't know if Daniele actually 'got it' when I explained the whole account merger thing. He's italian (and so is she). We're getting married in June 2012. hurrah. Gav

The problem with the game is it's hard actually with saying 'but'. However, I will try, these are things I like whilst leaving the buts out. And there are some. 1) The Dynasty System. 2) The ability to run the game from the cloth map allowing me to play on my old laptop whilst I'm waiting on getting my new laptop. 3) Designing your own sovereign. 4) Designing your own faction. &nbsp

I'm sorry... truly sorry that in the sandbox mode there's no real sense of this. There's a +1/-1 on relations and that's the only thing I see. I'm more or less equally likely to find myself at war with my kind than I am with the 'enemy'. I'd like to see it harder for Kingdom players to go to war and much more likely that Empire are gonna come stomping in. Right now I just feel a sort of non-coded sympathy for fellow Kingdom AI (which isn't even slightly reciprocated).

You know how in the later game you have difficulty remembering what city specs in what as they level? (Hell I have trouble after three cities :p). I didn't want to start naming my cities: Gold Producer. But what I did do was come up with four prefixes and to my surprise they still look and sound fantasy-ish, but they make it very easy to remember the specializations. Guess what these cities do. I agree with both of you on point three, I like all the elements but... IT NEEDS WORK. The dynasty system is the reason I got excited about the game and then felt let down by how badly it was implemented. (I think a toggle for whether you want dynastic succession or not would be great as it would keep both camps happy). Also I don't think there are enough. The main thing from MoM that I miss is item enchantment. I'd love to see that added into the game. Rem

And my fourth kid was named Janusk after my advisor was killed, but he'd married and had a daughter who joined the other faction, I married her back into the family and when Janusk's grandson joined us I was very very happy. There's something there, but it can be used so much better. Gav.

I /love/ the Dynasty system but it's so underused. I wish the ages matched, and I wish the 'line to the throne' was doable. It would detach from the 'you are the monarch' thing but I'd love to see my son or grandson take the throne, or my grandson ruling one of the other factions. Also random events should pop up, divorces, proposals, wars because of the dynasty system. It needs to be fixed but it has so much potential. Gavadel

Hi, my girlfriend and my flatmate conspired together to buy me Elemental for our anniversary. Both knew I wanted it desperately. But they've setup an account on elemental (I can supply the email they've used) and I'm wondering if it can be moved to my account. Particularly because it's the downloaded version (you don't send to Italy apparently, or wherever they tried to buy it from doesn't send to italy). There's also the 'gift' thing, but they're both italian with lit
