Frogboy you really don't need to respond to posts like the one from Freebird1956 . It was a childish post. P.S. Thanks for the frequent insight into the gaming industry. :)

How is the pro fences better than the free fences though?
Someone sell me on fences, everyone says they are great but I don't see how it would fit into my workflow. I am a 3d modeler and traditional 2d illustrator. I use zbrush, ps, painter, etc. Could fences really help me on my projects or is it more of a visual pleasure than an organizational tool?
It's not a great game yet. I would look at it more like preordering a game rather than buying a game.
To preface what I am about to say, I have to say that I think Elemental is going the right direction now; but it still does lack in a few areas namely diversity between races, factions, monsters, etc. The funnest moment I had playing EWOM was when I was fighting spiders. 3 were normal spiders with nothing special about them except being high leveled, there was then this big nasty spider that had a web skill, and another menacing one that had a poison skill. I had to
I have to agree with the magic. It is quite good now, and makes it so that you feel like it defines your style of play. I am in love with the healing spells, and it is cool to be a paladin like character. I think the population is pretty good as well, I would like reasons saying why I couldn't do certain things. You know the popular "not enough minerals" type of thing. It is still a work in progress, but it is getting there. If I was to make a push for one large thing t
For t hose of us who didn't buy the book, will heros be updated in a later version to also have unique spells and skills, because frankly speaking I would like to see all heroes be unique. Just a question :) P.S. Good update.
Your roomate would be left to do farmwork because of his slieght frame, while you would be the one put in plate mail and sent to the battlefield. Thus, you would still get a movement penalty, because platemale will still be considered heavy for you...
I think the spell books being researchable is a step in the right direction, but it still leaves the sovereigns feeling similiar. Maybe more flushed out spell books, with it being harder to choose more than one book per sovereign? Also to help with diversity are you thinking of implementing more unique character skills. Maybe levelable skills? As it stands the skills or traits seem pretty flat, and some are just underwhelming. I have played games before where I forgot what special
My only question is if it was the worst show ever, why did you read the novels ;)
Besides the speed issue the things I want most were listed! More skills for heros, and items. Also spells getting some more love! Can't wait to see these come to fruition
I am 60% sold on EWOM at this point, it is getting better; but what we are doing now feels more like beta testing than when we were beta testers. They are listening much better now then they did then, so there might be some hope that the spell books get some love. Then again, they are on a budget so maybe not. Lets just make sure we voice our oppinions so they can think about it, and if nothing changes it is their own choice.
What if they had colorless shards that you changed to your color? To big of a change most likely. I just hate having all the spell books, and having my opponent having all the spell books, and not having much pazaz to any particular one.
Some people have complained that the factions and soverigns are to similiar and that there is not enough difference between them to make them fun. They have suggested several ways to make them play differently, and thus add to the "fun" factor of the game, and I agree with these critisms. Something I have thought about is spells, though. All the books have very similiar spells and don't feel unique enough. Also, unless you make a custom ruler, you get all the spell books anyway; so
It was unplayable 2 patches ago, it is playable now, it will be great if they listen to half of the forums feedback and update a few things that still need work though.
My favorite style of attack/defend/damage is battle of wesnoth. You do a range of damage (lets say) 4-10. You then have a % to hit. If you hit you do 4-10 damage If you miss you miss. I think there should be a dodge stat and an armor stat. Dodge effects % to hit and armor reduces damage recieved. I think armor should never bring damage below 1 point. Final note, armor should not effect whether or not spells hit. That shoul
I appreciate what you are saying necrobraska; however, I don't want to have to hold myself back in order to have a fun fair game. It is either overpowered and needs to be changed, or it is balanced making it fair game to use anyway you might think of.
I was playing a game where I got the tailsman that let me get a sand golem right from turn one. I was then able to steam roll my neighbors without more then a whimper. This seems like a too powerful of an item to be giving out at the start of the game.
fujisawasensei, yes I know and I appreciate that; it is so cool to see the mods a lot of people have already made without any hopes of financial reward. When it comes to reskinning an already exsiting model or playing with the particle system it is realitively easy to make changes to the game. I was hoping to make brand new races, new skills, and more monsters then the common darkiling, spider, wolf, bear, bandit. I am a fan and will dabble in mods here and there, but I was hoping
Okay, so if we made a (non-stand alone) mod we couldn't sell it, despite the fact that in order to use the mod people would have to have bought Elemental. That is good to know. Bit of a pitty though because for all the effort I would have to put into making new races, new monsters, ect... I could sell those art assets somewhere else. I guess I was just hoping that I could have been paid for modding [e digicons][/e] . That way when my wife asked what I was doing I could
If a team of professionals got together and made a serious mod could we sell it?
