Just please before DECEMBER 7th. Most of you probably know the significance of December 7th and no I'm not talking about Pearl Harbor day.

Congrats on the new baby. How much mana does he/she have? Hopefully you were able to have it before the patch nerfed down the mana. Seriously though, great work on the patches and the game and good luck with the baby raising. I have two myself and you would think the 2nd one would be a linear work progression but trust me it's not. There's this whole new dynamic to worry about which gets really fun as they get older and can play with each other. I boug
For those of you that say you always win, how many of you always win without cheating? I *never* use cheat codes and I never save & restart battles (i.e. fighting the same battle over & over until getting the result you want) in *any* game I play. Restarting battles is cheating, period. If I lose a battle, I lose. I've lost my sovereign plenty of times; he alway resurrects at the nearest city except in the one game I desc
find fire node, hit him with 2 fireballs, he's dead. repeat Having a huge defense means nothing in this game with such a low Health pool. 15 hits is one spell sometimes
The AI on ridiculous should have a bunch of troops in each city right when they create them. Or at least something to make taking the cities early a hindurance. Otherwise you can just follow the undefended enemy pioneer around and take each city as they found them.
Thanks for the post Frogboy, seems like a logical way to balance it. You shouldnt be able to have a giant army of really powerful summoned creatures AND very powerful spells, something has to give. What will be nice is that if you dismiss your army (presumably because they just conquered a few cities) then that mana per turn should go back into the pool to build back up so you can either summon creatures in another spot or just use it for nukes. I also like the idea of maki
Your sovereign is the powerful Channeler who generates +1 mana per turn. Each time you capture a shard (which in v1.1 willl have 1 seeded near where you start) it will provide +1 mana also as well as amplify certain spells. When you imbue a champion, it costs -1 mana to maintain. When you summon a creature, it will cost -1 mana to maintain. Thus, if you want an army of spell casters, it comes at the cost of having your sovere

For anyone watching this thread that can't win every time. Here is the no fail strategy. Spolier alert: 1. take any random attributes when building your soverign, it won't really matter. 2. Build a tech and arcane building 3. Research archery for tech and head for Infernal for spells 4. Imbue every champion you find 5. Buy them each a bow 6. Once you get the Infernal spell head toward Fire Giant 7. Summon one fire
No, and I'm beginning to understand why, it's a bottleneck in the building queue. Basically, you can crank up the economy of the AI to very high levels but the AI can still only build so many units in x many turns. If you have a strategy that can overcome that production capability, you can beat the AI on any difficulty. What the difficulty setting needs to do is give AI bonuses to their training time and construction time. This way, they can pump out
I seriously cannot lose even on the highest difficulty. It was fun for a few games but then it just gets a bit boring knowing you will win every game, not to mention almost every battle. I have only lost 1-2 cities EVER which I quickly recovered. Now let me say that I have lost in enemy territory when my sovereign failed a couple defense rolls but otherwise, even if I lose a battle or two I am always able to recover quickly once my mana regens. Also if I park m

Ok, here is an idea that would take you through the stages of the sovereign. Right now the Sovs are a bit too squishy. You don't want to take them too far into combat so then end up just being taxis due to the Organized talent, which I am glad to see disappear. However, there should be a natural progression of the sovereign as a leader. In game A he/she wanders around helping out casting spells here swinging the occasional sword. In game B

Spells will draw from a global mana pool and the UI will be cleaned up and content across the board expanded on. On the other hand, having the tactical battles eliminate "action points" but instead go with initiative on a per unit basis is too much for A (that's not the system we had in mind for War of Magic) but is something we

Updates tend to introduce new bugs, which is what the OP was hoping to avoid by not rushing them.
Exactly, and that is what appears to be happening here. I can understand one or two slipping through the cracks but it seems to be more than that, or my perception is way off, which may be the case.

They are actually working VERY hard on fixing the truly BROKEN things. Crashing when you Alt-tab is broken. Not having enough gildar to recruit a hero is a game resource "problem" but it isn't "broken" I am actually very happy about the fixes to the truly broken things, keep that coming please. Making sure the game runs on all platforms with all video cards with all the different graphics settings is challenging I'm sure. I actually like 90% of the game mechanics mention
Fixing the bug in monster loot necessitated a review of the cost of weapons and such. Ok, slow down, take a breath. I understand the need to get some performance and crucial bug fixes out there I really do. Crashing games is really not good but please just slow down on the other updates. What I mean is that these patches although nice seem a bit rushed with silly things slipping through the cracks like the archery bow costs. Those are little things that we can and will wait for.
