I find that if I access the store to buy weapons/armors for my heroes a couple times in one turn, I tend to get OOM errors. And, later in the game, I get them regardless of what I'm doing every 5 or so turns. I'll try to replicate the store OOM problem.

One area where 1.1 falls short is in differentiating factions, whether they be pre-made or custom. If each faction had a unique tech specialization/sequence, or you had the chance to choose one during faction creation, I think it would help to differentiate factions much more throughout the game. For instance, one specialized tech sequence could be Ambush or Troop Concealment. After researching a certain tech in Warfare, a faction that has Ambush as their sp

Concerning the imbue Champion problem, I didn't even think to un-imbue a champion because it seemed counterintuitive to me. I probably still won't under the current system. So, one option is, if you don't think that it's a fair mechanism, don't exploit it. However, as I thought about un-imbuing, I find that I kind of like the idea, with a twist added. When you imbue, you very suddenly flood the hero with your essence and powers. If you were to suddenly leave th

I uninstalled and reinstalled and have found the problem to be somewhat better, but not 100% fixed. I still have stone giants who lose everything or some random hero lose everything after battles, though not (it seems) after every battle.

I've only played so far as to find that one of my imbued champions will go to zero mana after a tactical battle, whether I had them cast a spell or not. It only seems to affect one of my imbued heroes at a time (so if I have two or three, the others will be fine), but I haven't been able to play very much because I've been trying to use magic. Crazy idea. To me, this is the biggest game-breaker since the initial release.

Several times now, when I've tried to load a saved game when I've already been playing (go to main screen from the game, hit load game), the game crashes. The music stops, comes back, then the screen flashes and that's it. I have an HP Pavilion 9501f running Vista. The crashing happens on Autosave and manually saved games, but not all the time -- maybe 50%. AN unrelated problem -- I loaded an Autosave from several turns before I had fi

Just to explain what I meant by a fast ZoC breaking the setting for me... Supposedly this is a dangerous world, crawling with beasts, monsters and bandits with nary a sign of civilization. Enter your sovereign and a couple of people. I don't see how a tiny town is able to dominate so much land. I'm not talking about the current rate, which I think -- for me -- is great early on especially. I want to feel like an isolated spot of civilization and

I have some thoughts on some of the ideas put forth and some possible fixes. First, I agree that there are too many cities with no drawbacks, especially in a downtrodden world. I also think that the current ZoC is just right, especially early on, and maybe a little too fast later. It would seem odd to me to have small cities somehow controlling large swaths of land. Sure, as you gain power and research the right techs, you ought to be able to control more la

[quote who="esomonk" reply="135" id="2756220"]Concerning the minor factions I think they should act as city states. It can only be one city. As it stands its kind of boring. What if the minor faction cities could grow constantly, without being linked to food and other resources, both in the number of buildings and in military strength. That means if a minor faction is still around later in the game it provides interesting and tempting target. It would be a large valuable cit

I like the ideas of the minor factors expanding their city up to at least level 3 and also the desire to make them strange and unique, such as a dragon leader (as one poster mentioned), that sort of thing. In my mind, however, I was thinking that they would have to offer something truly spectacular to make you really consider not conquering them and to protect them, if it came to it, from other factions. Some thoughts...I think the full diplomacy options are a must. A mi
