Having worked on the first 2 Fable games, i know what it's like to work on products for years on end, for the game to come out and for people to slate it for being buggy or rushed and then your CEO/Lead Designer to apologise to the world at large. Oh, i played HOMM 3, 4 and 5... But they were really just the same game again.. King's Bounty takes the game and mixes it up a lot, which i love... It's the same with Civ... Civ 1 great, Civ 2, fantastic and then the rest have left me a bit cold as they tend to have the same upgrades and units... I've played more MoM & Etherlords than all the HOMMs or CIVs put together.
If you are a coder, use XNA, if you aren't a coder, get a coder. :p I've been making games professionally for 15 years now, doing it by yourself is almost impossible, the best place to get started is to ask anyone on games making websites if they need any help. After getting a bit of experience you'll understand what it takes to make a game, and you'll have contacts to help you make it!

So, i wasn't on the beta at all, but i've been following Elemental since the early days and bought it on pre-order yesterday. My background is that i've played pretty much every turn based strategy game on the PC, and MoM is still my favourite, with AOW:SM & Etherlords 2 rounding out the top 3. I've also developed computer games for the last 15 years. Here are my thoughts on the game, and a couple of questions (As i haven't found a manual at how to do the basics) Positive Fe
