[quote who="Robert Hentschke" reply="4" id="2759435"] The problems are in the details. If a "party" cannot be engaged with an army then what if that party goes around in your rear areas, conquering undefended cities but skipping those that have a squad (effectively an army unit) in / near them? Should you have to draw all your army generals together just to be allowed to attack such a party? That's a lot of micromanagement considering you have to get your champions ba

Ah I see you've come up with the exact same idea I have. https://forums.elementalgame.com/395376 And you posted it earlier. And it's much more detailed. Suffice it to say I agree entirely. It would make an 'adventurer' style sovereign a legitimate build. As it is it's really a waste to invest in adventuring abilities, because high tech and a big army is all that dungeoneering involves. I've been playing around with this idea since the first night Elemental launched, though I'm not sure if it's been raised here before now. If so, I apologise. Like everyone else who has ever played this game I've been frustrated by the lack of balance between individual champions and stacks of soldiers. I've read some well thought out posts on this board regarding ways to balance stats, or use a new 'to hit' mechanic, but I think that the most elegant way to
Hi, I just finished installing Elemental v1.00 and loaded it up to find that I'm unable to see anything in the game. All movies are blank white screens with working sound, while everything else is an indecipherable ASCII background with little glimmers of the actual UI that come through now and then. I managed to randomly click my way into the campaign (I think) where the same thing was happening; random ASCII characters with what I assume are bits of the regular UI poking
