This has been a problem for awhile now. I noted it in this thread: https://forums.elementalgame.com/394581 . I know Stardock is busy, but I hope that these little issues eventually get some sort of attention.

This is a great idea, and would work fantastically with the ability to marry off your children to NPCs instead of just to the children of faction leaders.
Bump, because paying the tribute demanded of you by enemy factions still does not deduct from your total (even after 1.07).
when i launch elemental from impulse on my desktop which runes vista 32 bit, I get a launcher dialog box that prompts me to click "play", "update game" or "manual" Which i assume is how it should be.
There's a launcher?! I've never seen it.
I tried out the "Egalitarian" trait today and noticed that there are no options to customize the boots/pants that the unit is wearing. I don't mean armour, I mean in the Equipment tab. You can select dresses and the like, but there is no option to modify just the boots/pants like you can on the male models. That doesn't sound very egalitarian to me! I've noticed two language-related errors in the game. First is that the refined techs cannot be researched "conti
EDIT: (Just a question really, am I the only player with auto-save turned on? It seems that a lot of people complain about the crashes but then go on to say that they hadn't saved. Mine saves every 5 minutes, so even if I do get a crash I'm not totally SOL.)
I too have autosave turned on, and I quicksave frequently. The problem isn't saving, however; rather, it is loading. If the game doesn't crash to desktop when trying to reload, you have the chance to spa
I found three more. One has been partially mentioned in other threads, I think, but not in its entirety. Trade/Treaties 4. If a sovereign has negative gold, if you demand negative gold from them, you can seriously glitch the diplomacy process. The worth of a deal will go into the negatives, and their gold reserve will change to offset the two million or so negative gold that it glitches to. Clicking the negative gold will remove the excess gold, <em
I've noticed several odd things when engaging in diplomacy. Some issues must be bugs, and some of them probably are not, but all have me wondering what's going on. I'll organize them according to the category under which they can be found in-game, along with some suggestions. Please don't take this as griping; rather, it is some points regarding a system by which I am quite intrigued and would like to see refined. My apologies if most of this has been covered elsewhere
debug.err didn't contain anything suspicious. The debug messages it had, was the same it emited for every single turn, the one that hang was not special. I can of course reproduce the bug and make it happen again, but I would have posted debug.err if it was interesting
Do you have many huts throughout your Kingdom? I get a slight hang whenever I research Housing/Proper Living because the game is busy auto-upgrading all o
Hello, This has been happening to me occasionally. I thought I'd put up the debug.err and zip for the dev team to look at. Basically, when I reload a game, the sound will stutter and then the game will crash. Here's the debug: http://pastebin.com/iJCdbZau And the zip: http://filebin.ca/ozczkk/Elemental1_06-2010-08-30T15-51-35-392.zip <p
As to the method of raising prestige in a city, you can choose the "Royalty" attribute on your sovreign and get 2 prestige per city as default. Later, pubs and inns grant additional prestige, as does the palace (but you only get one of those) and some NPCs heroes grant a prestige bonus to the city. And for me, I got the bonus from the hero, but it did not show up until a turn or two later.
This, exactly. I
Quoting Droghar, reply 3 I have found this extremely infuriating. It is taking me ages to take out my opponent because he has spammed the map with settlements with no food anywhere! Just by conquering them my food goes massively negative, and I can’t level up my capital. I just found out readin gthe forum today that you can destroy settlements, so I might have to do that. It is frustrating that the AI employs a sett
A few I've noticed over the weekend: -If another faction demands gildar from you in exchange for not attacking and you assent to their demands, it will not subtract the gildar from your total but the opposing faction will not declare war. The one exception is if you have less than the demanded amount of gildar in your reserves in the first place. In other words, as long as you have the right amount of gildar in your bank, bribing is free. -If you are selecting more
*laughs nervously* Oh, so that's what that option does... Thanks for your help, Symondus!
First, I apologize if this has already been reported, but nothing came up when I used the search feature just under the E:WoM banner. A problem that has emerged for me since patching to 1.06 is that the colours of all factions are completely FUBAR. I only ever use the prefab factions, and have tested for both prefab and custom sovereigns. Here are my observations: 1. Buildings. The buildings will always be the correct colour for the faction. Altar
1.06 still has this problem. Or, in my case, started having this problem. In my current game I have no less than 14 shards under my control, with three more currently being built upon. Six more are visible from my borders. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a screenshot to prove this, as every screenshot I take ends up being a 1680x1050 black rectangle. As with the OP, this happens most often when I reload, but have seen it happen between turns.

Hello Everyone, I've tried playing a few matches of Elemental now, and I have a rather frustrating (and game-breaking) bug to report. Every time my turn count gets to around 225, the game crashes. I've tried to make different tech/spell research choices, different build options, different diplomacy options, have moved all of my units around and even renamed all of my cities. While sometimes the exact turn on which it happens changes, the game always does crash.
Hello Everyone, I'm having trouble understanding how dynasties between factions work, specifically how children are supposed to be born between the arranged marriages. In my current game, I have two arranged marriages with another faction, but after 50+ turns I've yet to see any children be born to either couple. I've tried hunting down the spouses on the world map to see if the two halves of the couple need to be in the same general vicinity as each other (such as wi
