I have an update on this. It seems that the race of custom Sovereign's is fairly random. I've created several and none have been the correct race. When I canceled building a lumber mill the forest it was on was destoryed. I did not check what happens if you destroy a finished one.

I see the lack of uniqueness as the major problem with the dynasty system. In Elemental you looked from anyone with decent abilities for you clone children and the AIs all started with blank spouses. I think the dynasty system should be redone as follows: A number of "Dynasty Quests" should be added to the game, ether as random events or as random spawned locations on the world map. Eac

I've seen this several times and it's not fixed. I just saw the Tarth leader running around with one after updating to 1.07. On a side note I tried to remove the Vigilant Minion from the game by changing it to the Familiar in the Death spell book and it worked for me (I could not R&D the VM and could get the F) , but the AI was still getting them from some place. I wish I could see what the AI groups where doing, as it is it's hard to track where the problem is.

As things are now you can build Pioneers and make as many size 10 citys as you want as long as they are not in the min distance from another city. In the games I've played the AI is very good at this, in fact I've seen lone Pioneers running through my lands during wars the make new cities. I've been thinking about a way to make where and when cities are built more important. My thought is

I didn't see fixing the Vigilant Demon on your list it's ArcaneDoom can kill any early field unit (5 hp) and leave any city unit mostly dead. Additional, I've seen kingdom leaders walking around with them and their a death spell. </
