Not only do I get to experience most of the "normal" Elemental bugs and issues, but because my rig is slightly under the system reqs, I get to see some really weird graphical fireworks (already posted about it on the support forum) [e digicons]:D[/e] , and the game still could certainly use quite a bit of re-balancing, tweaking, and perhaps major changes to some systems to achieve its true potential. But with all that, I am already enjoying it more than many games that have received some of

If you create a souvereign with the name Smithius for example, then save a game with him, then later delete him and create another souvereign with the same name, and play him, some of the earlier souvereign's stuff shows up, like the graphics and custom card. Not sure if this only happens as long as there is a save game present with the earlier souvereign or not, but that was the case for me.

Sorry about your computer problems, cmcnary, but the driver not working stuff is not really Stardock's responsibility, it's just part of playing PC games, there is always some headache because of all the possible hardware combinations, etc. I actually found Kryo's post above helpful, as I was having all kinds of graphical glitches since 1.07, and I previously just kept installing new drivers over old ones. So, seeing his post, I unsintalled all the drivers on my card, then in safe mode, used
This seems very similar to this issue: https://forums.elementalgame.com/395496
[quote who="CodeCritter" reply="8" id="2761841"]ArcaneBoozery, your video drivers are dated Feb 2009, please try updating them and see if that helps. I am also for making monsters drop items for adventurers rather than money or anything else for cities/armies. That would be a simple way of rewarding adventuring types without ruining things for army/city types.
Ok, happened again. This time, I played well into a game, about 170+ turns, before it occurred. Also, the corruption looked a bit different this time, it happened after I researched the adventure tech which allowed me to see more tents/etc in the world, and one of these tents suddenly had a long, narrow dark thingamajig projecting out of it along the ground toward some other structure. As I played on, more of these appeared within my city between structures. Here is the link to the .err file
I have pretty much the same system as the original poster (Windows XP Home, Pentium IV 3.2Ghz, Radeon X800XT, 1Gb RAM), and have experienced the same exact issues since updating to 1.07. Unlike him, I haven't narrowed the issue down to any specific in-game occurence, as it happened once right after new world loading, and another time after I started to build a farm on fertile land. It's hard to describe, but basically some artifacts appear, looking somewhat like the first screenshot of the OP
My glorious uber-computer has recently died a horrible death ( [e digicons]:([/e] ), and I've had to roll out its less glorious predecessor. That machine is on the lower end of Elemental's system requirements, but I still had to buy the game, how often do ambitious strategy/RPG games comes out? It runs on my older machine, but even with all the graphical settings turned down as much as possible, the performance is pretty choppy, in particular if you are zoomed in, a slight tap on the edge o
I am still learning the game mechanics, but there are a couple of spells that are puzzling to me. Protect friend, and protect settlement, both imbue their target with protection from offensive spells. Since this is a game about magic, and your sovereign is a powerful magician, what's the logic behind making units/settlements immune to it? Is it simly me misunderstanding how those work? I am in general against "magic resistance" type spells or effects in games, because you spend all your time
I've been following this game for a while, and would really like to buy it, but I have a couple of questions first: 1) I am unsure if my current PC can handle it, primarily because of low memory. My specs are: Pentium IV 3.2Ghz (single core) 1GB RAM 256Mbs ATI Radeon X800XT Windows XP These specs are mostly above the requirements listed on the preorder page, except for memory, which is listed as 1Gb Available Memory
