My first game was on an IBM 360 back about 1969. A naval wargame -- wrote it myself in Fortran IV on punch cards.

Turn 221, i t will lock up both my desktop [winXP 32, core2, invidia] and my laptop [win7 64, I7 processor, invidia] when I hit "end turn."
Here it is: http://drop.io/nofoodsg2 Town "Leavad" has two Imperial farms and no food production.
I captured the town on turn 56. Saved on turn 58 when I saw no farm production. Now, on turn 104 there is farm production in that city. Went back to my turn 58 and verified that there was still no farm production on that save with reloading. So, there is something going on that I don't understand.
Yes, I was Kingdom. This is a change from 1.06, though. There was also a mine, not in the city, but in the area of influence, and it was producing.
Wiped out Resoln early and took over their main city. The city two Imperial Farms built in it, but no food production.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to transfer my custom made sovereigns and factions between computers. I'm going from my main pc to my laptop and would rather not retype the back stories, etc.
[UI] I can't talk to even level 1 champions early in the game; I think it's because I haven't researched enough adventure tech (but nothing in the game explains that to me). Since I was trying to avoid the wilderness being full of gigantic creatures I can't defeat, I saved researching adventure until late in the game.
The only time I haven't been able to talk to champions is because I don't have enough money to hire them. You can select the champion, then se
shouldn't be forced to keep my spouse chained to the stove
You could always handcuff him to the bed, I suppose.
There is a fairly steep learning curve on this game. Little documentation and some bugs, so that you don't always know if something is a feature or a bug. I'm enjoying it all, because Stardock seems to be right on top of it. It is all pretty exciting. Anyway, this morning I notice my population was down to almost nothing - what was causing it? Wandering monsters, food, over crowding, bug? Turns out I had built a couple extra huts and their food requiremen
the multipliers being literally multiplied together instead of added is counter-intuitive.
I wouldn't say that myself. If you got a 5% salary increase this year would you expect it to be 5% of last year's salary or 5% of the first year you worked for your employer?
Now there is some great news. Sir Tech did some of the greatest PC games. And, if it is not turn-based then it is not a remake of JA2.
I looked at it again and it seems to be a generic ad. I may have got it because I signed up for news releases.
I Pre-Ordered on Monday and just now got an email from Stardock saying "for users who pre-order it, you will be able to begin downloading it a day early on August 23rd."
Ding! Thanks for the tip on Joeuser. Been trying to get an image up for a couple days.
Can I have a fight with my wife about fixing the kitchen cabinets and painting the house?
I have seen some criticism of the graphics here and there, but don't understand why. What I've seen so far is elegant and understated, reminiscent of the late Victorian and Edwardian illustrators of heroic romance.
Yes, yes. Thanks again harpo. This looks to be rich indeed. Many choices.
Thanks Harpo, this will give me something to puzzle on over the weekend. Now, one more question. I assume that you can choose only one profession, but what about traits? Can you have multiple talents and weaknesses?
Thanks for that list. Not being in the beta is it hard for me to imagine what these professions and traits do. So if anyone else has details it would be nice. From Frog's recent guide I see that: Bard = lowers cost of recruiting heroes
Can anyone comment on the professions and traits available during character creation? What are the selections for professions? What selections for positive and negative traits? What does each do? How many can you choose? I've seen screens with different information and realize it may change up to day 0, but information from the end of Beta would be useful for us who weren't in on it.
I was thinking the same thing. Would be good to study up a bit before the release.
