This means that depending on how fast you and your AI opponents do that research, the games wilderness and the amount of notables (and even resources) differs.
Yepp, I can confirm this from an earlier normal difficulty game of mine, my first serious one after playing and probing around for a bit. And I should say, that I abandoned it. In that game one of the NPC factions (Kraxis if I remember it correctly) got lucky and had several "Lost Libraries
you can just demolish the basic housing (and get the food back) and replace them with your houses, viola the perfect city
I do exactly that, Tesb. As I said, it's more a nuisance than a counterbalance. Regarding a possible solution for the general problem? How about a "assimilation period", while you "reeducate" or "integrate" the conquered city into your empire. [Yes, I know it sounds horrible, if you image it i
Incidentally this leaves it largely under player control, you can deliberately challenge yourself with difficult quests and battles against wild critters, which also leads of course to greater rewards and higher level champions to recruit, or you can mostly ignore that aspect of the game and instead focus on your kingdom's economy, conquest, etc.
That is in my experience absolutely not the case. So far as I have figured out from other threads in this for

Hi Cities conquered by the respective other faction group (i.e. Kingdom / Empire city conquered by the Empire / Kingdom) are way too strong and tend to become imbalanced. This is due to the fact, that the "one per settlement" restriction seems not to work with respect to the equivalent building of the other side. [Yeah, yeah. I know that a multicultural society is more productive in real life, but I'm talking game balance here.] So these cities can end up with twice the number

Hi Just had the game crash (again) after loading a savegame ... normally quicksaves for me. Linked the debug and crash files in Dropbox, hoping that it works. First time using this service. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10540235/debug.err http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10540235/Elemental1_05-2010-08-25T14-30-35-27.zip <

Hi I really really appreciate the effort you put into patching and improving the game. But there is also a small, but still annoying inconvenience associated with all this patching so far ... at least for me. After every patch I had to reset the options to the way I like them (e.g. no intro, no auto-turn etc.) as the patches have always set the options back to their defaults. Could it thus be possible to design further patches in such a way as to not overwrite / delete

Downloading right now and watching the percentages slowly crawl to 100%. Thanks for finally offering the world a successor for "Master of Magic" ... and to some extent "Age of Wonders". I'm really looking forward to playing the game ... hopefully very very soon. *cries some more over a slow internet connection*

Yepp. Here in good old Germany every game that includes Nazi emblems or swastikas in general is banned. So most World War II games have to find some sort of solution or have a seperate German version. The Heart of Iron series e.g. always uses the old German Empire flag (three horizontal stripes - black-white-red) instead of the infamous Nazi flag. But after some kids - that apparently also had Counter Strike or something like that on their PCs - went beserk at school over the past few
