Do you think Frogboy personally codes pathfinding in the game? If not, what does your comment have to do with game design? Try doing tactical battles with Gamebryo (what Civ IV used and Call from Heaven used). There is no such thing as a perfect engine. You do the most with what you have. I look forward to your game and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. In the meantime, go somewhere else. [/qu

I also find that on certain occasions, a 'new' random Map is an exact copy of one I played before, the only difference is that the Map is now flipped upside-down? as i understand it, once you attack a recruitable hero, you will be unable to hire any heros from that point on, they will simply refuse to work for you, the ones you have you get to keep, but future ones are blocked. i usually restart/restore when this happens though. as to why it happens, for me it seems to occur when i have a unit in a town selected and either try to use him to recruit the champion, or click near the champion and the game screws up and decides I clicked on him inst
using the 1.08b, some of this is from prior to that but i didn't see it mentioned in the change log. not using the 1.08b.094, and once again, i don't see a change log for a hot fix... not that you want to use autoresolve anyway, but that last time i tried it, it was costing a move. using manual combat you can attack into any number of surrounding tiles, using autoresolve, you will run out of movement points autoresolve is not allowing enemy units to retreat. manually attack a
according to impulse, i am using the latest version exploration tech appears to be broken, several games beelining exploration, no new resources have appeared, can't see em and not getting a pop up. can't find it listed as a change in the log... so broken? default map size is still reseting to tiny despite the hot fix most companies , even when they apply a hot fix, change the version number, something like 1.08.001, all impulse will tell me is that i have th

1.08(1.08 a i guess), wow this is aggrevating. the pathfinding is useless forcing you to move your characters manually, but now a whole slew of things require two movement points and with the serious lack of differences in tile detail, i can't tell, by looking, whats going to take 2 and what isn't, even with the pop up terrain info I am unsure what does and doesn't take two, possibly because of some special circumstances(moving onto certain goody huts seems to take two movement points irregar
i feel compelled to warn, this places resources ANYWHERE in your Zone of control, this includes, stupidly, on the far, far fringes of a city at the border with a rival nation, so that in some circumstances, you are guarenteed to loose that resource when the rival increases his influence. i have already been forced once to go to war to reclaim a spawned resource because while in my zone of control, it was so ridiculously on the fringes, that i was going to loose it, which ofcourse, onc
i am still waiting myself for my copy from stardock. the last time this happened to me, i had ordered from ebgames, and they informed me, after stringing me along for over 6 months(seriously, it was actually close to 7 before i got the order) that someone scanned the packages, so they were recorded as shipped, and then tossed them aside, leaving a whole slew buried for half a year in an ebgames warehouse before someone finaly realized there might be a problem, what with all th
Certain areas of the map are pratically pitch black on my screen, add to this the number of dark coloured monsters, like most spiders, and the fact that the helpful grid lines are also black, and you have a problem. i'm not seeing a gamma correction anywhere, and am hoping this most basic of elements wasn't overlooked by the developers. can anyone tell me where it is? my search only found mention of the "gamma phase" of the beta test if its not in, it should be add

version 1.6, the latest as of 8-29 another small one, because i am unlikely to play again until some really, really annoying things are patched first. my patience, and tolerance are exhausted. a scenic veiw, within the borders of recently conquered town, shows as still being owned by the nation i took the town from. it may, hard to say, be given me the diplomatic points though defeated nations still show up. for example in my relations, they still note "war"
its not just the master quest that has these out of place, and rather inappropriate names. i've fought bandits that were bad anagrams for "save game" and other terms. i killed the spider from "the grim adventures of billy and mandy", (how sad is it that i know that) as well as several others with equally silly names you have a random name generator, granted it could use a little work, but there really is no excuse for these names, if you want to explain them as bei
