I have been having the same issue with the sound as well. It seems to just stop after a while and then - suddenly there is a sound to inform me that something was upgraded or someone leveled or what not. What has been bothering me more were missing textures - like the banners in the upper corners during Tactical Battles and overlapping of menus and texts. Another issue I have found was that I cannot expand the list of my Armies or cities anymore. The only way for me to select
