My picks in decreasing order of importance - Spells - Spells - SPELLS - Quests - Loot - Tactical options Everything else with lower priority (monsters, factions, and so on).

Overall great news, though I'm disappointed that there's no talk of a Spells DLC for LH. Now, the new game will apparently cover that and more, and that's really great... but the wait will be longer, alas.
Pariden falls. Procipinee, wholly ruined both in body and in spirit NoooOO! [e digicons]:([/e]
I have been playing LH during the holidays. I did not expect to get sucked in as I did. It really has become a fun, addictive game. Mostly the remaining annoyances are of a technical nature - meaning that you happily live with them since you love the rest (incidentally I'm talking about loading times, threads that interrupt you in the middle of everything, and other little quirks, but it's ultimately not important). So I've been using Pariden a lot, making Procipin
The art style was one of the selling point for me, back before the Elemental release. The "stained glass" style is just brilliant and, as far as I know, a completely new thing for video games. It evokes that "medieval" tone in a very elegant way and without falling in the common tropes of the genre. Kudos for whoever got the idea. Now I'm still waiting for that Spells DLC with a GAZILLION of new spells in it, for the ga
Please do continue. Spells are the Number 1 item needed for LH at this point. I don't post ideas myself because I'm not a creative guy (this is why I'm willing to pay others for entertainment ;))
Agree with OP. Except spells are n°1 item for me. I'm waiting for additional spells before playing again.
I so much want to play the "finished" product, since the core works now, but I do believe the game doesn't have a "critical mass" of content right now. Especially spells. You want to play a mage, and you end up with literally a handful of spells that you have to cast over and over. CONTENT. Cheap, expensive.. doesn't really matter, but MORE is needed. I'm also looking forward to the 1.4 and 1.5 updates.
Agree with OP. 33 items aren't so many to begin with, and 2 are immersion killers (the others are nice though). Waiting for the Spells DLC anyway. Right now spells are too few to feel excited about magic.
Legendary Heroes is the iteration that finally made the game for me. I now consider it officially fun and addictive. As I said before though, it still feels like it could use real content expansions. Obviously, the sum of several DLCs could also work as an expansion, so I'd definitely buy: Spells DLCs (this above anything else. There aren't nearly enough spells in the game) Monsters & Items DLCs (with m
I see, no fellow superfans here.. [e digicons]-_-[/e]
[e digicons]\o/[/e] Watching the HD Trailer with the music maxed (check the official site) literally sends tingles down my spine. Ok, theoretically, I am boycotting EA... In practice, I will be following, buying and even pre-ordering! I know. Flame away. Then again, I've always said Mirror's Edge would be the one and only exception. Now I don't know how to cope with the wait.. except ok, tr
Awesome, I'll wait for V. 1 too. Are there any plans for further expansion, by chance? Like, some uncommon and rare city upgrade options? Thanx for the great work anyhow :)
I second the spirit of the thread. The game has been "fixed" and is really fun now. So all the more reason for more refinements and expansions :)
Talk about some backhanded compliments.
At least you know they're honest compliments and I'm not doing the fanboy dance. I've always praised Stardock's (Wardell's) decision to give the new releases for free to disappointed customers. It's true, nobody does that and we weren't technically owed anything (though to be fair, a lot of the things advertised
I've had fun before with Elemental, but it's always been short-lived, and it wasn't enough to see past the flaws. Now, maybe for the first time, I actually feel the desire to play another game right after the current one. It'll sound trite, but this really feels like the game that "should have been released 3 years ago"... and expanded upon . Now, I don't know if after all the work and the trouble the devs will have it in them to put more effort in
For whatever reason, SD isn't into making magic/spells a big part of their games. I note with amusement the game Worlds of magic has the initials WoM same as War of Magic.... But in this case "Magic" really is the focus, unlike the SD line of elemental games.
A low-magic environment can have its appeal, no doubt. It was just marketed to the wrong people.
That said, the production values of World of Magic definitely won't be as h
We may have a serious contender for the legitimate "successor" title. It's looking better and better by the day (except for the tactical view, that doesn't look too good, but I could live with it). I like the magic circles and the overlapping mechanics that regulate spell research (finally!). And my, those city screens!!!
Justified. The dialogs are a blast. And Chief Art is awesome.
Perfectly in agreement with the OP. If you can't live by the most basic rules of society, you need to be removed from it. PERMANENTLY. With any means necessary. A solution like the Prison City of "Escape from New York" would work for me as well.
While concerns at this point are legitimate, I'm willing to bet it'll be a lot closer to MoM than FE is. This is simply because FE has very little to do with MoM. Without otherwise judging the merits of the game, the "spiritual successor" line was an effective PR tool at launch but things didn't quite go in that direction, honestly.
I don't understand this "running in circles" thing. Balance and polish are back to square one, meanwhile the game is re-imagined (again!) rather than expanded and improved. Not for the first time, I'm baffled by the course the development is taking. Sure, I'm all for the Fame mechanic, at least. Can't say differently, as I was a very vocal supporter of it since the Elemental: War of Magic era... but, back then, the argument was regularly dismissed. Also I'
I think these guys have their hearts in the right place. Cautiously hopeful.
It's not that I'm against rules overhauls, if needed. It's just that I had hopes for things that I felt were missing, since I thought that with TWO expansions they were going to come. Just look at what the Civilization team adds with each expansion. I mean dragons are still grounded? :(
The reason I'm not very happy about this expansion, is that it seems more of an overhaul than an expansion. At this stage ( second official addition to the game) I would have expected flying units, item crafting and all the things we never got with Elemental or FE. Instead, we get another rules overhaul. Granted, heroes at least needed the overhaul, and that's good, but when do we get expanded things (if ever)?
