I decided to cook an elaborate dinner to kill some time and noticed that I was pacing back and forth waiting for water to boil. My nerves are shot! I do appreciate you guys putting in all this time on a Sunday to get the game out.
I do find it a pretty odd choice to have the big bad dragon's fire-breath attack miss.
I wasn't in the beta so I haven't seen the modding tool but I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard to make an ability that gives your sovereign a tech/magic research income of 2^(your level) per turn or something like that.

One thing they could do is make it so you need to gather multiple eggs that are scattered all over the world. In all likelihood you'll need to barter with or conquer other nations to get them. That is, the quest becomes available to all the players when it starts so every player is looking for the eggs and values them very highly.
Seeing poor young Sandra marry that... guy... gives me an idea. Maybe your children could have a chance of running away from an arranged marriage based on their compatibility with their bride/groom and their loyalty to you. If they run away they might seek refuge in some other civilization and start working for them as a champion.
