I'm not from the UK, but Belgium, and I recieved 2 copies ... one today and one yesterday, had to pay taxes twice though. But what can I say, I can sell this 2nd limited box again and have the game for cheap in the end, lol.
Dang, I like goodie huts, maybe just fewer of them. Civ's implementation works. Placed at the beginning and they don't respawn. Shame to hear about the goodie huts. To be honest, most of my fun in Civilization came from exploring for goodie huts. I rarely played a game past 1000 AD.
Wow, you missed all the fun ! If it's about exploring for free stuff I mean lots of games out there about that. I don't give a damn about that
Yet again, why gets half a topic about Inception turned into "my favourite movies/must see this/random fantasy movies"-thread ? [e digicons]XO[/e] Just noticing, I could also go reply in every thread that I like Pan's Labyrinth and post a random trailer (Sucker Punch, at least this looks more fun than Watchmen). Maybe I should mention I like pineapple pie ?
I'd like to se way more races, but then again the dynasty aspect would be lost and that's something that I find REALLY cool and almost never seen in any game. But in Age of Wonders, the really cool thing about that game was you could form parties with 2 opposite races (like elves + orcs) and attack something. Ok they would revolt the next turn probably but still it was possible. With so few races that coolness won't be in it I think, but you can't have everything !
Age of Wonders (all 3); but that will change thanks to Elemental ! :D Deus Ex (not the sequel, they ruined it all with that game) X-Com : Terror from The Deep
To be honest, I stopped caring about RTS after Tiberian Sun ... I get too stressed out with RTS, if you play a bit slower you will be completely overrun. I rather like TBS, all chill and relax, considering options, ... that's how I like it ! And I can't see how they can ever pump new life into RTS anyway, it might be done but not with a sequel or anything ... And tbh I'm tired of waiting on stuff from Blizzard, they announce stuff like 4 years ahead of time, that's torture imho !
It deserves a 10 as it's the film with the best script ever made (from scratch that is ;)) It's just stupid to vote on something that you don't understand or isn't your style ... I won't vote on pure drama movies as they mostly bore me to hell. But i think most people on IMDB vote fair, and don't vote when it's not their style. I know people who hate lord of the rings just because they lack any form of imagination, sad, but that doesn't make it a bad trilogy does it? I don't know crap about r
Woohoo great to hear you're on schedule ! Can't wait for beta 4 ! I was already pretty happy with the performance on this machine with minimal gfx card (didn't test on my performance machine) and seeing it's like improved 5x, awesome ;) Feels awkward, I don't want the holidays to be over, but yet I want to play the full version asap :D
You can't compare certain film genres, but when I left the cinema I realised the same thing : this could be the best film I ever saw ! Nolan is now untouchable for me ! Before I saw it I was a bit concerned about the dreaming, because too much freedom can ruin everything (anyone who can remember "The Cell", for me that's one of the worst films ever made), but he used it in such a way I wanted to see, it's really incredible. And that's only the script ! Yes finally a film where t
I had to use it to start exploring the map as I started on an island [e digicons]|-)[/e]
I'm just glad there are still companies who don't aim for the big market, but please the people who actually go for more depth ! I support these all I can, so few games that REALLY get my interest as it might look promising but eventually turns around, going mainstream and pulling the money out of the 'less intelligent' people's pockets by releasing expansion pakcs every month or whatever. I've been waiting for this kind of TBS game with a lot of depth since Age of Wonders:SM, and tha
I like the automatic road system, but Inns should really work as road magnets. If there is a inn along the road between two cities, the road would make a slight detour in order to go by the inn. I seriously also love the idea of inns only spawning along roads after some have begun to form.
This last idea is epic if you ask me, wouldn't that be awesome !
Even in a mature environment like the beta-stage of this game, people just want to start some moral discussion, why ? Please just take our opinion and take it to crapbook or whatever site with high concentration of people that feel themselves so important that they need to spread their crap all over the place ... Can we just keep talking about the game? And yes this is my first post, pretty disappointing actually ;) I just pre-ordered and installed the beta and I'm
