I posted this question earlier, and a couple people suggested I reinstall SD Central and try again, but it didn't work. The problem is, most of the time when I try to apply a suite from Theme Manager, whether it is one of the 1k files or the larger ones, I get the error message "The file type you have passed for(Windowblinds, wallpaper,etc.)is not valid", and the program does not apply that part of the suite. Unfortunately, I usually get an error message for each part of the suite, so it applies

I have completely updated theme manager and Stardock Central. Why do I get a message something like "the file type you passed for such and such(Icon Packager, WindowBlinds,etc.)is not valid, when I try to apply a suite? Also, some suites when applied either crash explorer or apply only a minimal pre-xp taskbar and windows with no borders, making them impossible to move(one suite I have had this problem with is Advance4Life)? Help with Theme Manager/Winstyles in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I recently upgraded my Windowblinds purchase to an Object Desktop subscription, and have a question: what is the reason Stardock Central offers updates for both Theme Manager and Winstyles? Their own documentation states that Winstyles is now referred to as Theme Manager, yet both are offered for update. When I install Winstyles, I get a nice option to /"run Winstyles" which gives me great control over the whole of Object Desktop, but trying to run Theme Manager causes it to crash. The one time

I think you all have valid points. I also agree that "curly sue" was being overly antagonistic. Maybe she had a bad day. But what's with throwing her real name out there? She might use it elsewhere on the net, and anyone visiting this sight now has a possible i.d. on "curly sue". Even worse, she might be blamed by anyone who sees this thread for anything any "curly sue" does elsewhere on the net. This may not be America but this is an issue of a person's right to privacy.

I am not criticizing Stardock since they have created a great program which truly brings new value and interest to the computing experience. I am not saying it is a "fault" in Windowblinds per se, but being that there are so many aspects of the skin which can be modified directly from Windowblinds, I do not see how one should have to open the skin up in another program just to change this simple a thing. I would consider this more of an oversight, and with all the things those who write programs

I have tried every background override option in Windowblinds, with no luck. Zodiaq~, I'll try your suggestion, but if that's the only way this simple change can be accomplished, don't you agree that Stardock must fix this in an update?
