I've played several games and i havent been able to build a tax office at all... i have all the prerequisites, technology and otherwise, but the option to build it in the city screen never shows up... whats the deal here?

i've used earthquake twice... the information in game about EQ lead me to beleive that i would only damage the town's improvements/population and reset the build queue... the first time it did like it said... the second time the entire city just vanished and left roads... this was upsetting to me because i wanted to take the town for my own, i just wanted to weaken them up a bit and stop that juggernaut from being completed...
must be Richard Garriott... haha, its a fantasy to ever hope Tabula Rasa would return, thats why i'm here playing Elemental =p
These are all good ideas and i totally agree with this! Help us out on making units more diverse! this will add more of an RPG feel to the game!
reading this reminded me of a little issue i had while playing beta... i had a caster sov, and she had a loaded spellbook with all these l33t spells, but i couldnt even battle with her, cause i chose to have her use no standard weapon... just wasnt sexy enough... so dispite the fact i could wipe legions of enemies with my spells, i still had a combat rating of 0 or so... that just bothered me... enough about my complaining... this is looking so great to me... only a few more days, and
it looks a lot better than it in beta 2, but it crashes way more often than before, so i cant even really make it past turn 20 without the game crashing for some reason... hope yall get that fixed soon... i was thinking about the unit designs and a certain game came to mind that had a really awesome way to design units and that was sid meier alpha centauri... idk how much you guys know about that, or if you even got it set in stone how the unit design system is going to work, but
i think it would be cool to see some skills come into play as well... perhaps classes too, which we already see some of that with the sov's history, like a set of skills for the assassin, or merchant, and also simular skills for heroes/offspring... i also think that we should have access to more ways to level up, and yes, increase the ammount of exp needed, such as more pve and perhaps exp rewards from questing... just a few of my ideas [e digicons]:grin:[/e]
Yeah, i agree on the quests... i think it would be really cool if you could enter a dungeon type enviorment and look for treasure kill the bad guys or whatever, instead of simply moving from one tile to the next on the main screen... i made my first sov a caster too, which is really upsetting in 3A cause most of my spells are tactical and cannot be cast right now... but i feel that when tactical battles are released then this should be fixed... i personally dont like the way t
