Just got promoted after a long game VS Zerg. Its been a hell of a ride from the bottom of bronze, amazing game and the best multiplayer experience I've ever had. Here's to wasting copious amounts of time learning absolutely useless skills!! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]

I'm sure everyone at Bethesda will just cry themselves to sleep when y
A lot of Zergs will get 3 or more queens on 2 hatch for help with creep and defense too.

Good to hear you're sticking with it and getting better. Your APM will rise naturally as you play more and get better at managing your time and keeping yourself busy. Around 50 APM is plenty to play the game properly, you don't need it in the 100's like pros have to enjoy the game and be better at it than most people. High APM is only a good thing if its being put to proper use, anyone can click around and press buttons like crazy and get to like 200APM but if you're not doing
Still i find it archaic (because of lack of zoom and small scale, low unit count - didnt know about this one though), flawed (need to have many production buildings but cant have many units, units build for ages but die very quickly, etc..)
You keep saying things like this in reference to the "small" supply cap and how you end up with more structures than you can have units. This is puzzling to me.
lol Timmaigh. You're being SOOOOOOOO critical of a game you haven't even learned how to play yet. Unit control is very important as is the unit compostition within your army, the positioning of the army and using the special abilities of your units. Its not all about base building and macro, its about both at the same time. I'm not sure why you keep talking about how limited and small the army sizes are in SCII. Have you ever gotten to max supply yet? Have you made a 200/200 army?
You said you were not one for playing campaigns earlier in this thread. Play the campaign. Now. All of it. Learn little grasshopper.
What do you mean there goes the unit cap? You realize the max supply is 200/200 right? If you find yourself with more unit producing structures than you're able to constantly produce from it means you adding them too fast. Its typically only good to have a lot of gateways or barracks if you're on two bases. Most standard expands or one base timing pushes involve 3-4 barracks/gateways but its not uncommon to have like 6-10 when on two or three bases. Build PYLONS and PROBES or SCVS and
/facepalm
Sounds like you need to spend some time learning about how the game is played in the multiplayer setting. There is a TON of strategy in this game there's just a learning curve to executing it. You need to learn to use hotkeys, scout, execute build orders properly as well as transition out of opening builds, micro and macro manage at the same time and counter various unit compositions and strategies. It might sound like a lot but once you learn some of the basics and start having fun with
Law suit? lolz
I've hardly played since two patches ago and I think its MUCH better myself. AI is still terrible with naval strategy so the Pangea setting is better IMO. Diplomacy seems tighter and more cohesive but the diplomacy victory condition is kinda whack since you can just buy your way to victory with city states. Performance has improved, AI has improved, the balance and UI changes are nice and the game feels much tighter all around. I played with a low number of city states on pangea and the d
any idea what day this week?
Today.
Came out about an hour ago.
1.2 is out, no need for beta at the moment!
Awesome. Updating now and will fire up Elemental for the first time in a month or two after I get burnt out on SCII ladder. Thanks so much for all the hard work guys, can't wait for the 1.3 features and more news on Fallen Enchantress! I'm happy I've stuck around to see the amount of support you guys are pouring into this game, THANK YOU.
There is also new DLC coming out in the next week.
Looks to be a lot of AI work this time around... AI Economic AI: Tweaks to improve the number of workers built. Diplo AI: Correct minor error in calculation by AI to decide if it wants to join a coop war. City Strategy AI: Fix flavor broadcast to cities just after they are founded. Player level adjustments since start of game weren't being copied over to the new city. Operational AI
Studying for a game like it was an exam isn't learning to get better.
Yes it is. People, a big part of this game is learning how to scout and counter/defend cheeses and all ins. There is no build in SCII that flat out cannot be defended there are only situations in which they can't be defended. Getting better at Starcraft does take a bit of "homework" if you will, studying build order
Sounds great. I was actually looking for Starcraft 2 players on here. Thought I could get acquainted and maybe play a game or 2 and ever learn from their experience with the game.
I'm totally down for a Starcraft II meetup whenever, I play pretty much daily. I'm gold league but don't mind playing with or against higher/lower ranked players as long as people are mature and want to learn alongside myself. Nick: Lucid / Ch
