I actually finished an 800+ turn game today but I really hope this is fixed in 3A because it took me almost 6 hours to finish the game with constant crashing, saving backups, and doing the "waiting at the load screen" trick.

I have this same crash and also with Kingdom custom faction. Should I upload the Debugg.err and Dxdiag (I can't find the memory dumps despite looking everywhere) even though it's already reported? Thanks

Shards only give you a shard crystal which is required for the more powerful magics as far as I can tell. Like I used an ice shard to have my sovereign cast summon ice giant (awesome spell btw!)

They are VERY small at 1920x1200! shift+click works well though to circumvent that.
