Ayn Rand wrote many truths, that we can now see being played out in the current news events - evil wins only by default, when good does not fight anymore. In the gamergate story it's good to see that some good people are fighting back. - good are good and evil are evil, but the fence sitters are the worst, they are the transmitting tube where the blood of the good is transmitted to the evil zombies (evil has nothing to contribute, it only destroys, it survives

Everything you wanted to know about karma (but were afraid to ask) By Mister Language Person (with apologies to Dave Barry for patent plagiarization) Q: What is the origin of the word “karma”? A: The word karma is from the ancient language of Sanskrit (pronounced Sun’sCrit). Usage can be gleaned from the immortal quotation in the Bhagwata Geeta – “Falavay va dhikarastay, ma karmeshu kadachanah”. Lo

In Technological News - Military contractors unveiled an advanced, bilaterally-symmetric drone. “Its beautiful, sexy, and deadly to the opposition” They announced. “Conservatively, we’ve Christened it the Sarah Palin-drone” And back to news in Physics - [quote who="Seleuceia" reply="10" id="3353235"] FYI, the general feeling amongst the scientific community … …therefore , it is likely that att

To use a quote from The Matrix, what you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it the entire time, that there’s something wrong with String Theory and Big Bang Theory. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind. I was browsing through the net when I came upon a website, http://www.bi
It looks fantastic. Faithful to the original and adds spectacular graphics.
"Time is a great teacher. Unfortunately, it kills all it's pupils" Sad to hear the news of the Tappet brothers retiring. Theyre retiring of old age, and this (partial) info I have from "Ayurveda" may help. Find a Palash Tree (Butea Monosperma) with a largish trunk. Hollow out the trunk a bit, with a piece of the bark for cover. Stuff the hollow with Amla ( Phyllanthus emblica, Indian gooseberry), cover it with the bark, bandage
I liked almost all games which I used to play earlier. 1) Might and Magic - Clouds of Xeen. I wanted to get Darkside of Xeen, but couldnt find it then. 2) Realms of Arkania - Star Trail. Tactical battles were a time hog but it seemed fun. 3) King's Quest / Space Quest type games - Good adventure / story telling. Those games should have been made today with HD graphics. 4) Wing Commander II and III - II cause it was fun gameplay and story. III cause of
Skyrim has taken over the Steam Universe, seems 8 out of 10 people are online playing Skyrim. Meanwhile, Ive logged 57 hours on SotS2 so far. Disabled the random encounters by modifying an XML file so am able to concentrate on playing the game rather than swatting irritating Swarms, Spectres and Von Newmans. After yesterdays update there are no more crashes for me, and the screen transitions are much faster. I do wish there was an option to play a game with *all*

And now for SotS II First Impressions - Part Deux After spending 23 hours (within 4 days :-D) on SotS2 to date, I'm finding it immersive. If youve read the books by David Weber, this is his naval combat come to life, somewhat. The cinematics during the opening is fantastic, with t
Distant Worlds was given high rating by Reviewers, but when I saw the trailer / YouTube Video it was 2D. Whereas Star Ruler is 3D, a nice new tutorial shows the basics, and the YouTube links on the Forum shows what the game can do. Sins is a polished game, optimised for RTS, and lots of fun, but its an apples to oranges comparison with Star Ruler. I would compare Star Ruler with Sword of the Stars, somewhat, when it comes to customization.
Finished downloading SotS II during the night and just started it to see what it looked like, and it looks just like SotS on the surface. SotS is a deep game with TONS of customization and features so hope more people buy V-2 and give the game a chance. Does the game play only in Windowed mode, not fullscreen? (Option button is grayed out at the moment).

"Its win-guardiam levi-oh-sa, not win-guardiam levio-saah" One form of magic is incantations, or mantras if youre Indian (sari, wrong number indian, not me scalp um cowbows indian). what little I understand of "string theory" (from wikipedia) is that all matter (or energy) is composed of vibrating strings. So, in string theory at least, vibrations from your voice, or just your thinking of the precise phonetics of the incantations (youre supposed to get the best benefit
I just start impulse and expect it to log itself in like before. Been noticing the "log in with your email" and havent done so yet. So you put your e-mail in there and log in with the impulse password? (yes I know this should probably be asked in Impulse forums but they seem to be swamped in complaints at the moment)
In addition to Hero upgrades and tech, how about having weapons and armor that boost the Magic of Heros and Sovereign. The focus in E:WoM was on War rather than Magic. Magic was really underpowered in E:WoM as far as combat was concerned, the most effective spells were those cast on the map. There could be a magical staff that multiplies the magical attack and magical armor that increases defence so the Hero can be a true Mage class instead of a warrior with essence who
