When i have started a map under Large size. I am literally enveloped by other starting Sovereigns. I had 4 start almost right next to me making it impossible to move. I have also had this happen to me. Except all of my towns will have names changed and for example instead of the Tarth symbol/flag it will have Capitar or what ever other race on the map.
Was playing though a game as Capitar. Got the Drath as allies and built a company of them to go off with my Soverign and do what they want. Came across some trolls and decided to attack. The troll shaman cast confusion on my Draths. This caused my attack to go negative. I wasnt sure what confusion exactly did so i thought nothing of it. The shaman constantly casted confusion and i noticed my attack was now negative 700000. I could only think what am i going to do now. So i just charged forwar
That is fine in all that they would drop loot or you are simply able to loot the bodies for what not. Outside of the NPC monsters who would most likly not bother with the dropped loot. Yet the NPC soverigns you would think would take it for themselves and use it or sell it. Hence no goodie hut created when an NPC hero/soverign kills said other NPC. Though i do like the thought of a quest related to possible dropped NPC items. Mainly simple retireval for said family. Tho
I personally like the Mercenary idea of them getting strong enough to form their own guild persay. Or having established merc guilds across the world and working with some makes others just not want to do buisness with you.. well just for a bigger price most likly since they mercs and all. I think this comes from to much fantasy reading. Seeing how mercenaries get hired to turn the tide of war and such.
Was starting to think the same thing. Least on the lines of treason, but i like the other ideas as well. Giving more a sense of realism to people in general... which is can i really trust said person. Puts things more into perpective of an epic tale(least in my mind). Mainly putting my 2 cents in on agreeing with pad152 there.
