Much better fps and performance now. Memory leaks still ensues though, much to my dismay, but I'm generally pleased with the improvement to playability, as my game did not slow down one bit for my entire play-through.

'Your fate is sealed, weaklings!' 'I will eventually get what is rightfully mine - Everything!' 'My arrows fly at your command!' (WBC tribute) 'I am the Hammer that strikes the Iron.' 'Stay back, I got a spear!' 'For our Dread Lady, we march...'

They technically do. If you negotiate a Non-Aggression pact with them, you can enter their influence-area and buy some lesser magic items (early in the game) that you might not have access to (yet). They also typically have a resource near them. As for the rare unit, if you conquer them and have the proper research done, you can build on their special-unit tile and train that unit. But in most cases, the role of minor factions' is... To die. >:3

1. Stability and Memory leaks fixed (Which consequently should improve overall game-performance). 2. Fix the ¤%#%@ buggy mouse-pointer. 3. Combat and magic improvement.

As far as I know, you can only have ONE familiar summoned at any given time. I, at least, have never had more than one present at any given time, so for me it isn't really an issue.

Fully agree, I never quite grasped why a purely cosmetic trait, which has no in-game benefits/drawbacks would even cost points to take in the first place. Either make every faction have this trait initially (and thus, remove it from the list of choices) or, if you WANT to have a "males are the only ones who can fight D:

As you, the Sovereign of whatever Kingdom or Empire it may be that you rule, are walking along the halls of one of your Great Libraries, you lazily allow your eyes to scan the rows and shelves of endless books, texts and scrolls which line the walls. Clearly, nothing seems to pique your interest and you scoff arrogantly at the pitiful scholars who waste away in these dusty halls, pouring over tomes and texts that were written more than a century ago. Still, you also realise the importance

Kalypso... *drooleth* Ahem! No, bad Xaltwind! Focus! Yes, very excitig indeed, I was certain that Roland's lovely daughter and her draconic ally would wipe the floor with those pesky Yithrilites, but it seems that was not the case. Pity. On the plus side, this just means we'll get more of these gameplay examples to look forward to!

I think this was answered in a different thread, but basically, if your Sovereign dies, as in dies permanently, it's game over, period. Just can't recall where I saw this answered, sorry. I might of course be wrong.

Rawr! That had me sitting glued to the screen, smirking like a mischievous goblin as I read through the progressive battle and gazed at the accompanying images. Take that, Verga! A bit less focused on humor and more on bone-crushing action and intensity, darn it, now I feel like cracking some skulls. I quite enjoy these, looking forward to the next installment. Will Roland conquer his rival? Or will he and his kingdom fall to the re-grouped retaliation? The s

Very much looking forward to playing through the campaign, regardless of length. It'll be an interesting experience, I'm sure!

The numerous references to various other things gave me quite the chuckle. It's nice that you took the time to write all of this up and add the associated images, Frogboy. It was both entertaining and serves as (somewhat) a tutorial and "directional" guide for new players who are new to, or unfamiliar with, these sort of games, or how to start out. Very entertaining, I will be looking forward to part II! ... There is a part II, right...? :

Hoho! I'm so glad to see supporters rally to the banner and join the good cause! But surely we must have more allies out there? Come, do not be afraid, we who write will not bite... Hard... Err, I mean, at all. To give a little sample to some people, I shall write a little segement here. Note that I have not actually played the beta of Elemental, and what I base my scene on is purely on what I've seen from screenshots, videos and read about here on the website and forum. <e

This is not so much a suggestion that has to do with the game as it is something that more concerns the community and the area around the game. When I look at the forums, I find myself hopelessly searching up and down for a 'Roleplay'-board, a sub-forum where people can go and write creatively by sharing their tales and adventures of the game in a more eloquent and refined way than say, uploading a bunch of pictures and going: "Here I built food city, it crank out many %. Me no s

A very good question, I was actually planning to post a very similar question on the very same subject, but it would seem you beat me to it. After all, just like yourself, I have never played any of the previous Stardock games and am a complete and utterly unfamiliar face when it comes to this company and their previous releases, having only learned about Elemental through word of mouth and rumors. While I do want to know the answer to this though, I fear it might be wrong to

Hurr, hurr... Am I the only one who just wants to sail away to the central island and establish a massive, iron fortress of doom there? ... You people stay off The Island! *fist-shaking* On a side-note, yes, it does somewhat resemble Etheria, but not by much. Very nice map by the bottom.

Xaltwind will smash puny A.I. with Glacier-Mallet! D: But in all seriousness, having the option to just watch the A.I. go up against one another and beat the living daylights outta each other does have a certain appeal. Sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy watching a good match, and what better entity to watch playing than that which was programmed to KNOW how to play the game? ^^
