The caravan system should be a building, not a unit. Call it "Traders Depot" or something, and have it connect to one city per city level. This could automatically generate a road. Perhaps a paved road if both cities had trade depots. I almost never bother with caravans now. Protecting them is annoying, and constantly rebuilding them is a chore.

The new spells look nice. Each one is different and useful, which is great. Quest spells? Spells unique to a game? Hybrid spells? I love all of that. It sounds like it will make each game different, which is always important. Magic also seems strong, especially at high levels. So it looks good! One question in regards to levels and HP, as several spells seem to effect these. Is there a max to stats this time around? As in, can you only get up to 20 int, and that is considered god-like
I like medium and small maps. Because there is no penalty for building cities everywhere, I like to limit the amount that can be created. The only way to do this is with smaller maps.
Studious: Your sovereign gains experience whenever they begin and end a turn in a city (This would take some balancing and have to scale upward or be useless late game). In a related vein: Teacher: Your heroes gain experience whenever they are stationed in a city with your sovereign.
I would like to see a limit on stats, with an increasing cost of skill points as the stat increases. For example, let's say the maximum was 20, with an average of 10. Going from 10 to 11 would cost 1 skill point, but going from 19 to 20 would cost 5 skill points. Normal fighters could purchase skill points as usual while designing a unit, with more resources and time being required for higher stats (with perhaps techs/buildings enabling the player to increase the maximu
I pre-ordered, but my gaming computer does not have access to the Internet. I will have to download the game from work and transfer it to my home. Can I still take advantage of this early release?
So I went to preorder the game today, and I need to confirm something before I finish up. The cost of the game is listed as ¥4,571. Great, I live in Japan, so they have the price in yen. But at the confirmation screen, I get this: Order summary: Items: ¥4,571 Shipping & Handling: $
Great, thank you all.
FTA: "Kingdoms play more like traditional strategy games where you build up population centers and keep everyone happy, whereas empires are more about producing great people." I was under the impression that the difference between Kingdoms and Empires was that Kingdoms used Life magic (and were "good") and Empires used Death magic (and were "evil). I generally enjoy being good in games like these, but collecting great people sounds like a very fun play
I am interested in preordering Elemental, but I had some questions about shipping and digital downloading. I live in Japan. From what I can tell, as the currency on the shipping page was automatically transferred into yen, this won't be a problem. I want to confirm that this is true. I am looking at the digital download option, but my home computer does not have internet. Would I be able to download the game to one computer and transfer it to another? I've found in the past the answer to this
