I am interested in preordering Elemental, but I had some questions about shipping and digital downloading. I live in Japan. From what I can tell, as the currency on the shipping page was automatically transferred into yen, this won't be a problem. I want to confirm that this is true. I am looking at the digital download option, but my home computer does not have internet. Would I be able to download the game to one computer and transfer it to another? I've found in the past the answer to this is usually "no", so despite the shipping costs I may have to get the hard copy anyway.

Thanks for your help. I just don't want to buy the game and then be unable to play it.

Stardock is usually very relaxed when it comes to moving your software from one comp to another... I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that downloading the game on one computer and moving it to another was an option. Of course you could always wait for a more official reply, but I'd personally green-light you Stardock tends to be awesome with this sort of thing.

Impulse (via archives or impulse anywhere) does allow for transferring things to offline machines, but for the time being the beta requires a direct connection so it doesn't make a great difference. I'm not sure of our exact plans for the final release offhand, but it should be playable on an offline machine at that point.

Pricing on Elemental is in USD; local currency display is just for convenience.

So I went to preorder the game today, and I need to confirm something before I finish up. The cost of the game is listed as ¥4,571. Great, I live in Japan, so they have the price in yen. But at the confirmation screen, I get this:

Order summary:
Items: ¥4,571
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Discounts: ¥0

Total Before Tax: ¥4,571
Estimated Tax: ¥0

Total: $4,571.00   JPY

Can someone assure me that I am not going to get charged $4,571? I want to play Elemental, but not THAT much. I am assuming the dollar sign is the mistake here, as if it were a ¥ it would make sense.
