MoM was one of my favorite strategy games. It still will get taken out every couple years and played for a while. What I did to make it a little more competitive (although the only real times you lost is if you overextended your early exploration and left your city undermanned), was randomly generate my start. Race, skills, spellbooks, etc... all random. This way I was never following the same path to victory. It made the game more interesting... I got to play wi

"The ability to teleport should alleviate AI pathing issues not exacerbate them. It shouldn't be more complicated to program then the actual pathing algorithm. And as is it is already a very limited use spell. I only used it once somewhere mid game to kill an ogre threatening an undefended town (all towns are undefended due to economy being bonkers). Rest of the time I relied o
[quote who="dracophoenix" reply="1" id="3069462"]Resounding no on this...Listen to what you did. You capture as many resources as you could, turtled till you had ridic amount of mana, then used one of the most powerful spells in the game. How about suggesting they make the AI take steps to keep you from getting to that point? Even a suggestion to maybe add to the potential skills/abilities of units/heros a 'mage-dodge' that is on top of the resist (note, this should be a rare high lev
Tiny map. Got cut off early, fell behind big time in development. Wiped out everything on my side. So... I sat until I built everything I could afford. Claimed all resources with outposts, etc. I have a 60-something score, other guy has 220. He declares war. I have maybe... 12 units, five of which are heroes level 10-14. However, I've been sitting around clicking next for a while, not really paying much attention, just tryin
Amusing... I'll have to look. Of course, in this game I have no ordinary units I would have tried it on. Haven't needed any so far.
Playing a normal medium-sized map game. I've put no points in any combat techs... all civilization. I have one city. I have a 20 or so power ranking, and the guy with a 100 declares war on me. So I go out with my two heroes and one sovereign (almost my entire army). Low level... maybe 4th or so. I have two casters and one melee type. Using almost no spells other than Heal (a massive 8 hp heal), Growth and Giant Growth, I've ta
The graphics bugs have existed since well... longer than I can remember. Nothing new to this build or any recent build. I've just been playing from the cloth map. Unfortunately, I like to actually do tactical battles, and these graphics glitches sometimes make it very difficult to see any units. http://imagebin.ca/view/hptiCnH.html I tried to use pastebin for the debug.err, but i
Ok, I don't know how many this would apply to, but I was having a similar problem. Try and load, black screen with the menu words, but nothing would happen past that. No music for me. About 153k memory usage, no CPU usage. I updated drivers, messed with permissions, changed the preferences, etc. I finally solved it on my end - I had the folder and subfolders set to "hidden" (due to being on a networked computer at work). I read the debug.
