Oh, and for units made at cities they could have descriptors granted by the Military tech tree such as the "refined" options or the Movement tech which could simply give Scout to all units et cetera.

Here's a take from someone who has spent far too much time over the years looking over rules and designing pen and paper game systems. You can tell the dev team/playtesters by the fact that they are playing Amber DRPG because the idea of dealing with mechanics, math, or min/maxxers is so out of the question... I like the idea of having a simple way to code/design NPC's and to customize sovereigns in a more roleplaying way while also giving concrete bonuses along with th
Played through again and right around turn 220 with five cities at level 4 or 3 with a large army up popped the error message "out of memory" and then the game crashed. Reloading doesn't get much farther before another out of memory crash.
My apologies.
Got to the middle of the game when the game crashed and about ten windows popped up with "out of memory" boxes. I had six cities with 3 at level 5 and about fifty units or so. I was on an escort quest when the game crashed. Smaller bugs: Sometimes when fading in and out from the cloth map the interior of the city will be empty or part of the exterior border will disappear. While travelling via the cloth map I ran into a caravan and the boo
If I enter the square an inn is in while viewing the cloth map no message appears offering a quest. It happened on four separate inns that I had recently discovered with my sovereign. No active quests. Newly discovered so I couldn't have accidentally already received a quest. When I try to go to the inn later with the normal map nothing is offered.
When travelling via the cloth map whenever I hit an inn nothing happens. As a consequence the inn never disappears and takes up space which is annoying when my city expanded to the point where the inn is. In normal gameplay when on the normal map they seem to always offer the escort job. Got a noblewoman killed and now a noble estate is taking up space and not interact-able. It would make sense if you had a rebellion or would have to pay a blood price for your failure a
I like Gorstagg's idea with the adventurers having different degrees of interest in joining civilizations. As an old time pen and paper game designer I always came up with three adjectives to describe an npc, culture, world et cetera in order to build a scaffolding for creating a strong background. If the various NPC's had three descriptors like Individualistic, Curious, and Greedy and the nations had descriptors (probably based on what was purchased in the nation build
I've been looking forward to this beta for weeks...I still wish that Stardock had been able to get the rights to MoM.
Looks terrific!
When you find healing potions it says "earn" when I'm willing to bet you mean "urn." Not really a bug but hey this is my first beta in five years or so and I wanted to get in on the action of helping out.
Well, the hp quickweb Linux based OS on their netbooks and nettops will get you online in 30 seconds for 250 bucks with the cheapest model. Plus, you can multitask, they have usb, webcams, and sixty percent more powerful processors for a third the price...just don't understand why anyone would want an ipad. Besides, I personally can get to my email in a second or two from my android phone and I can see my fb notifications in 2 seconds so if speed is a factor...my cell phone is at least equal
