Don't haste with the update. Make it really good.
Nikitosina
+100 A lot of nice things!
I see no reason to do that. It is old and unflexible approach.
If it lets you go to the city, I do not know why you would need to build in the window.
Open new city menu, change production, close menu and go to next city? It will be more robust to control city production right from this menu. Less useless clicking.
does it allow to build things inside this window? I hope it does. in other case it sucks.
2 new mods in the game are too short (1-2 hour each). The real things comes with upgraded main game champaign. That's really good. A lot of new things starting from the first island.
We should give guys at least couple of month more to make satisfactory patch. It is a lot things to do you know ;)
Yeah, that 2 pictures looks really good. The game is very ugly compared to that pictures.
Caravans must be guarded or lands should be patrolled/guarded. Also it is annoying to spam caravans in every city it should be automated somehow.
how the AI gets weaker in MP games for some reason
Yeah. I declare war on a far away India state in order to support Japan who asked me for that. After 10-15 turns India ask for 10 turn peace giving me 1650 gold. Wow! I have 2 questions: why they do that? how to accumulate that much gold at the middle age era?
Civ 5 and KB: Crossworlds
Played Civ5 last weekend (4-5 hours in total). Good, polished game with a lot of new desirable features. It becomes more casual in a good way. No need for city spamming any more - you can play first half with 2-4 cities only and be the best. I chose Civ5 over Elemental becouse of bugs, balance, graphics and gameplay (every aspect is better at this point). I hope Elemental will become a diffrent game with no bugs at 1.1 release.
Nikitosina, even battle.net uses a client/server relationship, and I know WC3 (not sure about SC2) uses one of the clients as a host. Even if Stardock hosted the actual game (and not just as a cloud/connection service), they would still have to code the gameplay the same way. Theres just no avoiding sending and receiving data.
Hi Troll, Thanks for another lection of client server tech :) Read my question once again please and think about what you have answe
Thanks for the lection of old client-server technology. Why don't you run dedicated multiplayer server like battle.net but smaller? Give me your thoughts about this.
Full camera control? I play this game in cloth map mode only. The "normal" mode sucks for real strategy game.
what about bugs? It is still pre-beta.
Big list. Still not enough. Hope to see 1.1 soon. It's a pitty but it is still many bugs.
city defence mod. The population should give some bonus (maybe extra units or bufs?) while defend. I can't believe 1 hero is able to conquer a town with 500 population just by killing 1 guard.
Caravans is just another fail of this game.
The idea was great. The realization sucks... bugs bugs and bugs. I should wait till november patch.
1) Please make build window moveable. It case you got 10 towns or more it is not possible to access to all towns while on building screen (menu is hiding some towns). 2) Every time i switch towns in building menu i cannot zoom out to present view state by clicking done. It looks like usual building "top view" but to all things in game. 3) Every time i save the game i got my cloth map feature turning off. In order to get only cloth map back i must enter menu and uncheck+check a
It is good that you are working on bugs. But there are lots of bugs more. Keep working guys, keep working...
Wow. Much more bugs than i found. Hope to see fixes in the next patch ;)
Hello to dear SD team and to anyone reading this post. I finished champaign and currently playing random generated games. I would like to post here some of my thoughts about this very uncommon game. And please excuse me for my english. At first i will put some notes about champaign: - It is too short and easy. It took around 4 hours to beat it. After i started first random game the champaign feels like a small MOD to the game. - Some weapons are overpowered. Ac
That doesn't make any sense. Game AI will always be inferior to a human player (at least for the foreseeable future and without a supercomputer to back it up), so the devs do know that their AI is not particularly smart by human standards. There is no avoiding that, other than denial. Having only "tutorial" and "normal" means that a lot of people will find the game either too easy or too hard with no recourse. If you don't like the idea of handicaps, then don't use them. It's as simple
