I think the worst thing about the OS/2 2.0 fiasco is how it delayed native 32-bit programming by years, on top of the Multitasking DOS 4.0 fiasco (remember the 80386 was introduced in 1985!).

Actually I think it was GeForce 6 series that added support for Shader Model 3.0 (NVIDIA was first to add it).
