I've seen this error too. Also, recruiting champions is more than it says in the dialog window. The first batch of 3 (leader Lisera, Arinoru, and Aninalue) said 368 gildar but cost 484 gildar. The game runs at a negative number for a while where you can't spend anything till you get out of debt (I've been in debt at least 250 gildar). All other recruits had this error too where they cost more than it said it would. I am playing General Carrodus with the Kingo

As far as the tech tree is concerned one thing I want included (which may already be planned) is when I can use a technology. This means knowing the "House" (or Villa or Mansion) tech can only be used by me in cities at the town or whatever growth stage or higher. I guess this mostly applies to Civilization tech type, as that is the only one I can think of with restrictions outside of a tech tree structure itself.

[quote who="seanw3" reply="46" id="2642333"] I would hope that each starting position is random but not crippling to any player. What I mean is that while it is nice for every bloak to get a fire mana, earth mana, iron mine, and farm patch to make sure everything is equal, it would make this game irreversibly boring. The randomness needs to be like Texas Hold'em, if you will forgive the reference. Each player gets resources of a relatively equal amount but their composition is

I know things are still in flux out there, just wanted to make sure you knew about the oasis and wild game providing (at least by description in the build menu) only 1 food for 4 tiles space of a city. I mean a farm is 15 food for 4 tiles, garden is 3? food for 1 tile, and wheat farm/orchard/apiary is 20 food for 4 tiles.

Well adding armor to a new unit usually can add gold cost also, so the blacksmith would get "paid" something if you have some kind of mechanic like that included.

[quote who="Austinvn" reply="7" id="2639072"] quoting post By contrast, having the AI intelligently colonize an island is a matter of 60 to 80 engineering hours. Give yourself more credit, if it merely took one guy working for two weeks, I'm sure that more TBS games of the past would've actually gotten this one right But seriously, if you actually pull all that off - an AI that can deal with rushes, adapt to resource-s

Upon loading from a saved game, selecting units with a left click causes a CTD. The unit is Eldmyre the Trader with 5 peasants. Also happends if selecting NPCs not recruited named Jimmy Hornswaggle. Also going to menu and clicking designing new units will cause CTD. dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/fEbSCTrH debug.err: http://pastebin.com/Wb9KNdxs Dump file: <a href="http:

The Sov casting mass heal on their own stack only heals themselves, or no one if the Sov isn't hurt. Champions in a stack without the SOV in it that cast the spell heal all units in their stack. The Sov when healing a separate stack of units heal all the units in that stack.

[0.3][freeze] I had something similiar except it just froze up upon clicking "continue" button when selecting the housing research. This happens even when reloading the game from a save. I was able to select mining and maybe another later on without picking housing, but if I pick housing then it freezes up. I had to ctrl/alt/delete to quit game, so don't believe there is a dump file (didn't see one with correct time). You should get the option for the housing

I was able to return the damsel in .298 to one of my cities (only Sov and Damsel in the stack), just try all your cities but mostly your starter one. Wasn't able to get the knight to do the same in .298. The rats quest just causes CTD though on my returning to the inn to turn it in. [0.3] Quest worked OK for me if you return her to the right city, doesn't work for any city. There also seems to be issues if there are other units in the same stack. I got the rewa

I have this also but with Vista 64 bit ultimate (oh mine doesn't CTD, but instead just hangs not responsive, I need to kill it through task manager). The turn button stays greyed out for at least 3 minutes. I suspect it has something to do with the autosave feature or a city upgrading to the next size, but being too close to the ocean or other blocking items on the map. I need to do more testing with this to lock down the problem. One issue with tracking down the pro

So, is the damsel supposed to disappear and the quest complete? I still have the knight from the knight quest and the damsel still running around. I have entered the city with them both. Is it possible to get more essense? Idon't seem to regen any even with the city improvement built for it? And what about mana I don't regen that rither it seems? I'll try another game with another Sov to see if it continues.

Aren't most traditional forts made at choke points in natural terrain, or with greater resources spent a wall is made to artifically mimic this? I mean if you want to make a fort out in the middle of a plain then why can't I just ride past the fort and go burn down the city further down the road? Here in the US forts on the plains were used mostly to protect the soldiers based there I believe, and as a base of operations. I support the chokepoint type of forts. O
